Versatile by design, not by accident.

We took a donated women’s shirt, and cut off the sleeves so that women and men can use it.

We took scraps of fabric from peoples wardrobes and at the time used hot glue to glue it.

We were creating while travelling, so we used what we had.

We took it to New York and then flew to London with it.

We are actually in the process of reusing this shirt and it’s fabric again!

Happy Birthday to

So Morgan walked for us at our first international fashion competition back in 2023 for New York Fashion Week. Her husband was also at the show with us!

She truly believed in the brand, and it was our first time doing anything this big, we had no idea what was happening or what we were doing.

But this lady was 100% behind us, I flew out from Australia and coming to another country where you don’t know anyone, experiencing a new culture, and getting into an industry where you constantly have to meet new people, and you have to make it work no matter what, can be overwhelming.

But with Morgan’s support, it just made it a lot easier and less daunting.

So a very Happy Birthday to this lady!

Our research on sustainable fashion

Sustainable fashion is amazing, and it has changed how people think about what they buy.

But what we do is different from what you now know as ‘sustainable fashion’.

A lot of what you know about sustainable fashion is actually how raw materials are processed and recreated into new fabrics such as h**p, organic cotton, tencel, ethics of how to grt wool off sheep without hurting them etc.

What we do is actually reuse the fabric people do not want anymore and turn it into new items.

Culture & Fashion

When you're making a comeback with your cultural sustainable attire collection for Beautifully Diverse Fashion, and while you sew, you have to dance with the music too!

So, .utukuri is 2nd Runner Up Miss Universe USA 2025 (originally from India) gifted us with her wedding dress (I know right - super honoured). I have to recreate an outfit using the items she sent me.

Turning this sash (from the bottom of the dress) into a sari!

Growing up in Malaysia 🇲🇾, I grew up with a diverse community of ethnic groups and cultures.

I had Indian 🇮🇳 friends who introduced me to Bollywood films. This is long before we had apps, streaming, you name it! This was on DVD!

We grew up watching Shah Rukh Khan (one of Bollywood's most famous actors of the ages - for those who don't know who he is). I learnt to adapt to all kinds of cultural music, including Bollywood.

One of the songs is called 'Bole Chudiyan' from the all-time classic movie 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' - I really do need to learn the words to the song though 😂.

Hindi is on my list to learn as a language!

It's definitely worth the watch if you haven't seen it - it is 3 hours long. It's such a legendary movie.

Shah Rukh Khan & , who was also in this film, now have a statue in Leicester Square in London, UK 🇬🇧!

Multiculturalism in Fashion

As a brand, we're all about bringing different nationalities together and connecting people through personal experiences. E.g. being a mother, chronic illness, starting a business, you name it!

We were fortunate enough to be part of last year (2025) and to for hosting it at Town Hall in Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺.

We believe in supporting our models in whatever goals and endeavours they wish to pursue. It doesn't have to be modelling. It can be anything, a dream or goal that runs wild.

It took us a while to find a good publisher because we want to make sure we get the proper support for not just as a brand but for our community.

Thanks to .magazine out in Milan, Italy 🇮🇹 for featuring models

Happy International Women's Day 2026

shared this post on , and if you're not on LinkedIn, you better get on it. It's such a good platform for business.

So, this year's theme is 'Rights, Justice, Action for ALL Women and Girls'.

We made this a community business, a business that was about the voice of the people and for the people.

Not everyone has the voice to speak out and stand up. Believe me, this CEO wasn't one of those people back in the day. She was very quiet, never spoke much, she got bullied a lot for being chubby.

We are often underestimated as just another fashion label. Beautifully Diverse Fashion represents more than just fashion; it embodies a mission focused on inclusivity, diversity, and sustainability across the globe, transcending genders and nationalities.

From a country town in Australia to tackling global challenges, this individual is on a mission. With an educational background in politics, governance, criminology, and humanitarian aid, she is dedicated to finding solutions for pressing issues in developing countries. Her focus includes addressing domestic violence against women in Ghana, Africa, and promoting employment opportunities on the Caribbean island, Dominica.

Frances’ story embodies resilience and hope. Despite enduring numerous incidents of sexual abuse from ages 16 to 24, she continues to seek justice for her predators. This experience has fuelled her aspiration to become a lawyer, enabling her to advocate for other women facing sexual and domestic abuse, particularly in developing countries. Additionally, she is a co-author of the international bestseller, ‘Me Too But Never Again.’ Frances' journey highlights the importance of fighting for justice and supporting those in need.

As said, "I raise up my voice, not so that I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard."

The 8th of March, 2026, celebrates all women who are making an impact and empowering the women and girls around the world.

You can make an impact, too ❤️❤️

Our First Celebrity Model

When we started Beautifully Diverse Fashion, we didn't even know where to begin or how we would make this happen.

We started advertising on Instagram about .week, and a lady messaged us. We had no idea who she was. We were just snooping on her page abs Google.

She told me she was from America's Next Top Model, we knew what the show was about, since we used to watch it on TV (haven't seen the latest documentary though - shall save it for the plane ride).

She wanted to model for us. Originally, we wanted just people from the wider community and not celebrities. A relative said, "Don't shoot yourself in the foot,"which basically means don't shut down options, keep them open, and then decide the right one.

Anyway, we said no originally, but then we thought about the advice given. So then we contacted her back and said a sure model for us.

That person turned out to be from America's Next Top Model , who was on season 19.

Now we've become good friends. These photos were from our February show back in 2023. Seven months later, she asked us to judge her models - crazy - we hadn't been in the fashion industry long enough.

The point of the story is never to say 'no' quickly. Think about the offer and then make a decision.

Sustainable fashion thrives on creativity and resourcefulness.
When I embarked on this journey in 2023, I faced the challenge of limited funds and couldn't afford new fabric.

A friend inspired me by sharing how they repurposed old shirts into bags and hair scrunchies, selling them for extra cash. This sparked my idea to utilise items that others no longer wanted.

Many of our clothing donations come from family, friends, and the wider community, who have items they no longer wear.

For instance, this jacket was crafted from a men's formal suit. We simply cut off some sleeves and incorporated scraps of leftover fabric.

Additionally, the necklace was made from a wedding sari. I cut out the jewels, sewed something on the back (so it's not rough on the skin), and added fabric on top to create a tie-on piece.

With a little imagination, the possibilities are endless in sustainable fashion.

Waste not, want not 🤗❤️

Just be yourself.

The one thing we wanted to do was to include people who are everyday people, making a living, who have goals, who have struggles, whowant to achieve things, people who grieve etc, people who are just like you and me.

Everyone, no matter where you come from, has something to offer.

The one important thing we wanted to do was to include people with TATTOOS.

When we started in the fashion industry, we noticed it was very specific in how one should look and be.

But in reality, that's just not how the world is and functions. People throughout the world look just like you and me. They have scars, birth marks, different coloured eyes, different hairstyles, tattoos, you name it.

So, at .diverse.fashion, we wanted our models to relax and just be themselves. That's what makes us individuals relateable to one another.

Swipe left, Emilly here is full of talents, and you might even relate to what she does.
