For the first time, this year we invited Links Primary School to be part of our project and we were so pleased to be able to deliver their Gift from Furzedown presents a couple of weeks ago too. We had the pleasure of delivering the Gift from Furzedown presents to schools a couple of weeks ago. It's always great to catch up with the Senior Leadership Team in Penwortham School and to hear how important this project is to the school. They all work so hard to give all the children in their care, the best start in life.

A special thank you to the brilliant Penwortham PTA for supporting this project and working tirelessly to fundraise for the school and to David and Kamilah from Furzedown Builders who came to the rescue with their van to help us deliver as we've now exceeded capacity for our regular car boots!

Looking through some of the thank you cards we received from children chosen to receive our Gifts from Furzedown Christmas stockings last year. The saying goes 'it takes a village' and we really couldn't do this without the wonderful Furzedown community of local businesses and residents who so kindly support the project. Thank you for all your help and believing in what we do, you really make a difference to the families and children!

Thank you so much for your continued support for the Gift from Furzedown Project.

The Furzedown Community Network (FCN) is made up of local people keen to promote a sense of community in Furzedown, working to improve the neighbourhood, making it a safe and friendly place to live. They run talks and events and support initiatives that benefit the local community including the Gift from Furzedown Christmas Stocking Project.

A huge thank you to Alessandro for letting us take over the Naked Loaf 2 weeks ago for our first Gift from Furzedown mega wrapping session and for the super-generous hospitality! Not only was it the perfect space to put tables together and chat and wrap, but we were spoilt with delicious pizzas that just kept on coming! If you haven't tried their pizza yet, we highly recommend it. Very happy Furzedown Builders and Gift from Furzedown teams that night!

Out of the chaos, lots more bags filled and ready for wrapping this week. Not long to go now until we can deliver the gifts. We have the loveliest volunteers around Furzedown wrapping in the evenings and weekends to support to this project - the biggest thank you from all of us!
