Yesterday we visited The Coming of Age at Wellcome Collection a really thoughtful exhibition exploring how we experience ageing across the life course. Totally reccomend you go!

We loved the work of Makoto Toya, reworked over decades and held in a continual state of becoming. And were moved by Tam Joseph's work 'UK School Report', an uncompromising critique of racial bias that feels as urgent as ever.

It was interesting to see William Utermohlen's self-portraits up close, we often reference his work in dementia awareness training when thinking about the relationship between creativity and dementia.

We LOVED Rory Pilgrim's 'Software Garden'! As well as their call to "Intersect a System of Care and Kindness", let's imagine a more compassionate care system and bring it into existence!

We also really enjoyed Mordechai Zilberman's exploration of the complexities of being an older gay man living with dementia, the intergenerational work of Magic Me, the Q***r Creative Health zine by Meg-John Barker and Q***R CIRCLE, Flo Brooks' gorgeous paintings, and the hilarious niceaunties' Auntiesocial bigging up 'auntie culture'.

Curator Shamita Sharmacharja has brought together a show that is sensitive, expansive and quietly challenging, asking not only how we age, but how we care. 💛💜💚

Wonderful summer Creative Space Art session yesterday catching up and making Leporello folded books that followed our chosen timeline..from a house lived in for 50 years to an ideal fried breakfast - the inspiration flowed. Led by artist with support from our brilliant volunteers - Rachel, Anna and Aashni - at the end of session checkout one group member commented 'I feel uplifted, happier, calmer, creative, ready!'

Huge thanks to cellist Eryna Kisumba from the Royal Academy of Music and pianist & violinist Catherine Duncan for their recent performance at Wigmore Hall, rounding off this term's Music for the Moment concert series. Such a brilliant afternoon, including music by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Jerome Kern and Nadia Boulanger, as well as trad folk tunes and lots of engaging tales and photos. Join us again for lots more great music on Friday 25 September at St Marylebone Parish Church 🎵 🎵

We’re looking for a brilliant Operations & Systems Coordinator to join the Resonate Arts team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a small, dynamic charity supporting people living with dementia through creative arts programmes.

You’ll help keep our systems, finances, data and communications running smoothly — enabling our team to focus on delivering meaningful, person-centred work in the community.

Role details:
• £31,000 FTE (£20,666 pro rata)
• 25 hours per week (over 4 or 5 days to be agreed)
• Mostly home-based, with some London-based activity
• Permanent role

This is a pivotal role supporting the systems and organisation behind our work — perfect for someone who loves bringing clarity and structure while contributing to something meaningful. We’re looking for someone organised, proactive and values-driven, who cares about making a difference behind the scenes.

Woop! A lovely endorsement from a fellow musician and creative soul, Bill Bailey!

I've been filming with a brilliant organisation called Music for Life, who use music to help people living with dementia. I had the great good fortune to watch them in the final rehearsal for their concert, Singing with Friends and it was joyous, uplifting , beautifully performed and also very moving. If you'd like to attend this concert the date is Tuesday July 7th 12.15-1.15pm at the Wigmore Hall, London W1U 2BP.

Huge thanks to arts facilitator Rhian Sutcliffe for running a great printmaking workshop for our volunteer Creative Befrienders this week. We had lots of fun exploring different techniques - monoprinting, collograph, relief and nature printing with some inspiring results - brilliant work everyone! Big thanks also to the wonderful Two Temple Place for hosting us

Huge thanks to soprano Grace Hope-Gill and pianist Amy Bach from the Royal Academy of Music for their brilliant concert at St Marylebone Parish Church on Friday - part of our dementia friendly Music for the Moment concert series. It was a great afternoon of music from classical and folk to musicals and contemporary song. Come join us next month at Wigmore Hall on Friday 3 July! 🎵 🎵
