Some answers to FAQs:
Q) Do I need to register with an accrediting / professional body before coming to the UK?
A) Not unless a job specifies - for example, a job as an NHS cardiac physiologist will require specific registration (and likely training)

Q) How do I begin the job search?
A) Jobs as an EP are certainly more limited in the UK as it is not yet a recognized allied health profession. Perhaps start with private healthcare providers (HCA, BUPA) and/or use a recruitment agency to assist.
You may need to think outside the box and consider roles that are different to a typical EP job in Australia/NZ, such as clinical work within sporting clubs, or fitness facilities.
Look at roles before arriving in the UK and consider extra training (ECG interpretation, as an example) based on where you see vacancies.
