💰 Revolut : An online bank with an international focus. At an affordable price you can hold 29 different currencies which you can use globally for no additional fees. (If you even know that many currencies we will be surprised!).

💰 Monzo : More of your traditional banking app. You can set up overdrafts, savings accounts and round ups. Again there is no charges when you use your card abroad. Everything is paid in sterling and the conversion is calculated by Monzo at a really good rate.

Today in the UK we are celebrating Queen Elizabeth as she becomes the first British monarch to achieve 70 years of service! All across the UK, Platinum Jubilee celebrations will be held ranging from parades and performances to good ol' British street parties. 🇬🇧

For those of you already in the UK, we hope that you are all able to get involved with the festivities across the bank holidays and as always we are more than grateful for all of those keeping our healthcare system running. 👑

G’day to all of you Aussies and Kiwis that have/are moving to London! Are you struggling with some of the English behaviors and sayings? Well read on because here is all you need to know...

🍾We call a bottle-o an off-licence, and yes, you probably will be asked if you drink fosters.
⛱We call it a bank holiday not a long weekend, but either way, still a welcome extra day off.
☀️We sunbathe in 20 degree heat - days at that temperature are few and far between!
🐧We compare Tim Tams to Penguins - we get the feeling that you disagree...
🚶We have got walking faster than we can run down to a fine art, so I hope you have got your trainers at the ready.
📖Citymapper is the Londoners bible - trust me you will need it to navigate your way around the city.
🤭Sorry, you also may have to start every sentence with ‘sorry’ - us Brits love apologising 😉

and last (but potentially the most important) tip is if you ever find yourself at Covent Garden station ALWAYS take the lift!

🕷On the bright side though, there are no cockroaches AND you will have loads of opportunities to exaggerate how deadly the other side of the world is!
