YOU are loved.
YOU are enough.
YOU do not need permission to exist.
YOU are not alone, and you can always reach out for help no matter what.

If you or someone you know is struggling to cope, needs to talk, or needs immediate support, you can call ‘SAMARITANS’ 116 123 (free from any phone anytime) or email [email protected]

🌟 Stories of Support and Progress 🌟

As World Autism Acceptance Month comes to a close, we want to pause and share a heartfelt thank you and reflect on what we’ve been able to build together.

With funding from Compass Wellbeing, The Brave Project C.I.C has been able to continue supporting neurodivergent young people and their families through culturally competent, lived experience led support. The feedback we’ve received from parents and young people has been powerful and grounding, reminding us how vital it is to feel truly heard, understood and not alone.

Through the Empower Mentor Programme, we have supported young Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) men aged 16 to 25 in Newham who are autistic/neurodivergent, or exploring a diagnosis. Across peer mentoring, 1 to 1 support and wellbeing workshops, we have created safe spaces where young people can build confidence, connect with others and strengthen their sense of wellbeing.

As we move beyond Autism Acceptance Month, our commitment stays the same: to create spaces where neurodivergent young people feel seen, respected and empowered in who they are.

Thank you to every young person, parent and partner who has shared their journey with us. Your voices continue to shape this work. 🤍

🦋 Butterflies don’t know they have wings.
They don’t know they’re strong.
They don’t know they’re beautiful.
They don’t know they can lift themselves out of dark places.

And maybe you’re like that too.
Maybe you’ve forgotten how much you’ve survived.
How many nights you’ve made it through.
How many times you kept going when nobody even saw it.

You have wings.
Even on the days you feel tired.
Even on the days you feel invisible.
Even on the days where getting out of bed feels like climbing a mountain.

If you’re carrying something heavy right now—
We see you.
If you’re hurting quietly—
We are proud of you for staying.
If you feel like you’re supposed to “be strong” or “hold it together”—
you don’t have to do that alone.

If your thoughts are loud… talk to someone.
If your chest feels tight… reach out.
If you feel alone… you’re not.
Not tonight. Not ever.

Stay. Talk. We’re here.
And your wings?
They’re still there.
Even in your darkest moments.
Especially then.

💙 Struggling doesn’t make you weak.
💙 Feeling everything at once doesn’t make you dramatic.
💙 Asking for help doesn’t make you a burden—
it makes you human.
It makes you brave.

💙 To every boy and young man out there — this one’s for you.
Be proud of who you are.
Be proud of how far you’ve come.
Be proud of the times you kept going, even when it was hard.

This Men’s Health Awareness Month, we want you to know:
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You don’t have to be the strongest or the loudest.
You just have to be you !!!!!
Asking for help doesn’t make you weak — it makes you brave.
Taking care of your mind and heart is strength, not softness.
