THE GENIUS OF CHRISTIANITY

๐Ÿ“–To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

What sets Christianity apart from every religion, philosophy, or system of human effort What is the secret of its power and uniqueness? The answer is found in one profound truth: Christ in you! Christianity is the unveiling of a divine mystery: God Himself living in the human person through the Holy Spirit. This is the genius
of Christianity.

In fact, it's interesting that the word "genius" is of Latin origin and refers to a spirit, a.guardian spirit or deity believed to be responsible for someone's life from birth.Various cultures have had similar concepts. Among the Igbo people of Nigeria, for example, there's the idea of "Chi," oneโ€™s guardian angel or guardian spirit.

But Christianity presents something far greater. The Holy Spirit is the divine personality, the divine guardian and presence responsible for your life. The beautiful thing is that He doesn't guide you from a distance; He lives in you. Glory to God! Think about that. The One who is responsible for guiding, helping, strengthening, teaching, and leading you in God's purpose has made His home in your spirit.

You're never left alone to navigate life by your own wisdom, strength, or ability. The Holy Spirit in you guides
you to perceive and comprehend the realities of the Kingdom. He knows what you do not know and leads you to walk in and fulfil God's perfect will. This is the extraordinary advantage of the Christian life.

The power, wisdom, grace and presence of God are not external realities you're trying to reach. They are resident within you through the Holy Spirit. He works in you and through you, making you equal to every task and effective in every good work. The wonder of Christianity is not merely that God helps you; it's that the Holy Spirit lives in you and takes personal responsibility for guiding, strengthening and leading you in the fulfilment of God's purpose for your life. What a life He's given us!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the blessing and reality of Christ in me. I live with the consciousness of the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence and ministry in my life. He guides me in wisdom, strengthens me for every task, and leads me to fulfil your perfect will. Your life, power and glory are expressed
through me today, in Jesus'

TOPIC: โœจ THINK BEYOND THIS WORLDโœจ

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

One of the most important lessons in the Christian life is learning to see beyond the present world and its temporary concerns. Many of the decisions people make are based entirely on what benefits them now, what feels convenient today, or what appears advantageous in the moment. But God's perspective is different. He evaluates everything in the light of eternity.

This is one reason God's instructions often seem unusual to the natural mind. He sees what lies beyond the present. He knows the eternal significance of our choices and understands the glory that awaits those who walk in His will. While human reasoning is often preoccupied with immediate outcomes, God's wisdom is focused on realities that endure forever.

His Kingdom that weโ€™re a part of, is a spiritual and everlasting Kingdom. Heโ€™s given us an inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading. This means your life is connected to something far greater than the fleeting systems, structures and pursuits of this world. You're called to live and see from an eternal perspective.

When you understand this, your priorities become clearer. You recognise the value of serving the Lord, advancing the Gospel, and investing your time, resources, and energies in things that produce eternal fruits. You realise that the greatest opportunities in life are not necessarily those that bring the most immediate rewards but those that align with God's purpose and contribute to His eternal plan.

Refuse to evaluate your life merely by earthly gains, temporary comforts, or momentary advantages. The world and its systems will pass away, but God's Kingdom is forever. Therefore, think beyond this world. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. So, let eternity shape your priorities, your decisions and your pursuits. When you do, you'll live with purpose and the confidence that your labour in the Lord is never in vain.

PRAYER
Righteous Father, I thank you for giving me an eternal inheritance in Christ and teaching me to see life from your divine perspective. I walk in wisdom and make decisions that align with your purpose and your eternal Kingdom. My heart is set on you to fulfil your divine purpose and establish your righteousness in the earth, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, DAILY DEVOTIONAL, TUESDAY 6TH OCTOBER 2026. PASTOR CHRIS

TOPIC: โœจ IT'S ALWAYS IN YOUR INTEREST โœจ

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son... (John 3:16).

One of the greatest truths to understand in your walk with God is that He never asks anything of you for His benefit. Whenever He instructs, guides, corrects or directs you, it's always in your interest. Everything He does is motivated by His love for you and His desire to bring you into the fullness of His greater blessings and purpose for your life.

Consider what He did through Jesus Christ. He gave His Son for us. Jesus laid down His life, bore our sins, and rose triumphantly from the dead to bring us into fellowship with the Father. Yet His love didn't stop there. Having been exalted to the place of supreme authority and glory, He chose to share that inheritance with us. The Bible says we're "...heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ..." (Romans 8:17).

Think about it: The One who possesses all things didn't simply bless us from His abundance; He brought us into joint ownership. This helps us understand God's dealings with us. Never view or relate with His instructions through the lens of loss or sacrifice. Rather, see them as expressions of His love and wisdom.

Trust His Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life, knowing that He has your highest good at heart. He loves you more than you love yourself. Heโ€™s more passionate about your success than you could ever be. The God who gave His Son for you and made you a joint-heir with Christ will never lead you into anything that isn't ultimately in your best interest.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your immeasurable love and goodness toward me. I trust your wisdom and your guidance, knowing that every instruction you give is motivated by your love and designed for my benefit. My heart is yielded to you, and I walk confidently in your perfect will, with full assurance that your plans for me are excellent and designed for my blessing, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

โœจHE KNOWS MORE THAN YOU DOโœจ

๐Ÿ“– ...and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? (Esther 4:14)

๐Ÿ‘ค Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD

Thereโ€™re moments in life when God calls you to act, give, speak, serve, or take a stand, and you may not fully understand the significance of what He's asking of you. At such times, it's important to remember a simple truth: He knows more than you do.

Consider the woman who broke her alabaster box of precious ointment and poured it on the Lord Jesus (Matthew 26:7). The disciples condemned her act as wasteful. They thought the ointment should have been sold and the money given to the poor; they were upset (Matthew 26:8-9).

But the Lord saw what they couldn't see and said, โ€œโ€ฆWhy trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon meโ€ฆFor in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burialโ€ (Matthew 26:10-12). Then the Lord made a most remarkable statement in verse 13 that wherever the Gospel would be preached throughout the world, her act would be remembered.

The woman didn't fully understand the eternal significance of what she had done, but the Lord did. The same truth is seen in the story of Esther. As queen, she had a position of influence, but when her people faced destruction, Mordecai challenged her to recognise the significance of her place and time, saying, โ€œโ€ฆwho knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?โ€ (Esther 4:14).

What seemed like a personal decision for Esther carried consequences for an entire nation. God had positioned her for a purpose greater than she could see. Many times, the Lord's instructions are connected to realities beyond our present understanding. He sees the future.

He knows the impact of your obedience. He understands the eternal value of the choices He places before you. That's why you can trust Him completely. When He directs you, He's not trying to take something from you; He's leading you into His greater purpose for your life and into blessings whose full significance may not yet be apparent.

Therefore, trust His wisdom above your own reasoning. When He calls, respond. When He directs, obey. When He opens a door for service, sacrifice, or commitment, embrace it with joy. He sees what you cannot see, and He knows more than you do.

๐Ÿ™PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your wisdom, love and guidance in my life. I trust your plans and purposes for me, knowing that you see beyond the present and understand the eternal significance of every step of my obedience. My heart is yielded to your leading, and I walk confidently in the path you have ordained for me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Esther 4:13-14; Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. 14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Mark 14:8-9; She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. 9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Proverbs 3:5-6; Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

๐Ÿ“œWE'VE GOT SOMETHING BETTER

๐Ÿ“– But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

๐Ÿ‘ค PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME DSc. DSc. DD.

When you read about the men and women of faith in the Old Testament, it's impossible not to be inspired by their extraordinary feats of faith and experiences with God. Take Caleb, for example. He declared at eighty-five years of age, "As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me..." (Joshua 14:11).

Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he departed this world, yet the Bible says, "โ€ฆhis eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated" (Deuteronomy 34:7). These were remarkable manifestations of God's power under the Old Covenant. But as wonderful as those accounts are, we have something better. We have the Holy Spirit living in us.

We have eternal life at work in us. We have the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus operating in every fibre of our being. This is the consciousness with which you're to live. Refuse to evaluate yourself on the basis of natural circumstances, age or human limitations. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11). He rejuvenates and vitalises your body.

Don't adopt or accept the world's opinion and expectation that as you grow in years, thereโ€™s sure to be a decline in your strength, health and vigour. No! In Christ, we have agelessness. Youโ€™re forever in health, in shape and in vitality because you have the life and nature of God.

Eternal life is at work in every fibre of your being. The law of the Spirit of life is working in your bones, your tendons, your ligaments, and every cell and organ of your body. Affirm these truths about your life and walk in the consciousness of the divine life in you. Your strength is continually renewed by the Holy Spirit in you, enabling you to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint. That's your present-hour reality in Christ.

๐Ÿ™PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the life of Christ that is at work in me. I live by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, and I walk in the consciousness of your divine life in every fibre of my being. My strength is renewed continually, and I function in health, vitality, strength and excellence by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

2 Corinthians 3:7-11 NIV; Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, [8] will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? [9] If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! [10] For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. [11] And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, DAILY DEVOTIONAL, THURSDAY 1ST OCTOBER 2026. PASTOR CHRIS

TOPIC: โœจ YOUโ€™VE OBTAINED MERCYโœจ

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

In Christianity, we donโ€™t try to persuade God to be merciful toward us. We donโ€™t cry out for mercy, hoping He'll hear and respond. In Christ Jesus, weโ€™ve already obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2:10 makes it clear: โ€œWhich in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.โ€

Notice the language; it doesn't say you're seeking mercy or waiting for mercy but that youโ€™ve obtained it. Before you ever knew enough to ask for it, God lavished His mercy upon you through Jesus Christ. This understanding should change the way you relate with God. Youโ€™re different from those of the Old Testament.

Blind Bartimaeus cried out, โ€œโ€ฆJesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on meโ€ (Mark 10:47). But through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, you've become a beneficiary of God's abundant mercy and a partaker of His grace. That's why Hebrews 4:16 tells you to come boldly to the throne of grace: โ€œLet us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.โ€

It doesn't say come begging, or fearfully, uncertain of God's disposition toward you. Rather, it says come boldly and take hold of what has already been provided; receive and enjoy all that His grace has already made available.

Refuse to approach God with a sense of unworthiness or uncertainty. He has already qualified you in Christ to be a partaker of every heavenly blessing: โ€œGiving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in lightโ€(Colossians 1:12).

Not only has He lavished His love and grace on you (1 John 3:1, Romans 5:17), Heโ€™s also had mercy on you and His mercy endures forever. Therefore, chin up, chest out, square your shoulders and walk tall! Dominate circumstances, knowing that youโ€™re the Fatherโ€™s love-child and delight. Glory to God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your abundant mercy that has been freely bestowed on me in Christ Jesus. I live in the consciousness of your love, favour and presence, knowing that your grace is continually at work in and through me. I walk in this victory, confidence and assurance today, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY
1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: [10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Hebrews 4:14-16 KJV
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Ephesians 2:4-5 KJV
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, [5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, DAILY DEVOTIONAL, WEDNESDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2026. PASTOR CHRIS

TOPIC: โœจ JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH โœจ

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).

One of the great blessings of the New Testament is our justification by faith. Under the Old Testament, they sought justification through the Law, but they didnโ€™t get it. The Law could reveal sin, but it couldnโ€™t justify man. But in the New Testament, we have been justified by the faith of Jesus Christ. What does it mean to be justified?

It means acquittal, to be declared not guilty. In Christ Jesus, God declares you not guilty. You might ask, โ€œBut what happened to the offences or the sins I committed?โ€ The answer is in the Scriptures. Romans 4:24-25 says the Lord Jesus was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. He who knew no sin was made sin for us: โ€œFor he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in himโ€ (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus took our place. He bore the judgment that was against us. Every charge that stood against humanity was laid on Him. But blessed be God, that wasnโ€™t the end of the story. The Bible says He was raised again for our justification. His resurrection was the declaration that the demands of justice had been fully satisfied.

God raised Him from the dead because the price had been paid in full. Our justification had been secured. This is why the Christian doesnโ€™t struggle to attain righteousness through personal efforts or works of the Law. Righteousness has been granted to us in Christ Jesus. Now, we have peace with God. Weโ€™re at one with Him.

No wonder the Bible says, โ€œThere is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus...โ€ (Romans 8:1 NKJV). Thereโ€™s no more separation, no more condemnation, no more uncertainty about your standing before the Father. Youโ€™ve been accepted in Christ. This is the life of rest and confidence that the Gospel brings. Youโ€™ve been acquitted by God Himself. As far as Heโ€™s concerned, you never sinned.

Romans 3:21-26 (NIV) declares, โ€œ...the righteousness of God has been made knownโ€ฆThis righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believeโ€ฆand all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesusโ€ฆHe did this to demonstrate his righteousnessโ€ฆso as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.โ€ Walk in the boldness, liberty, and joy of this reality. Refuse to live under guilt, accusation, or a sense of unworthiness. The Lord Jesus was delivered because of your offences and raised again for your justification. Glory to His Name forever!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the glorious reality of my justification by faith in Christ. I walk in the boldness, liberty and joy of the reality that Iโ€™ve been declared righteous and accepted in Christ Jesus. Thank you for the blessedness of my righteousness and right-standing with you, in Jesusโ€™ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY
Romans 4:24-25 KJV
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; [25] Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Galatians 2:16 KJV
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified

Romans 8:1 KJV
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, DAILY DEVOTIONAL, TUESDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 2026. PASTOR CHRIS

TOPIC: โœจ HE NEVER LEAVES YOU โœจ

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever (John 14:16).

In the New Testament, we donโ€™t ask the Lord to be with us, or pray and fast so He never leaves us. We know Heโ€™s with us and in us because He said so. Christianity is the living reality of Christ in you and with you always, not sometimes or only when you feel spiritual, but always.

Many try to judge Godโ€™s presence by their emotions. They say, โ€œI feel like God is with me,โ€ or โ€œI donโ€™t feel His presence anymore.โ€ But your feelings donโ€™t determine His presence; His Word does. He said, โ€œโ€ฆI am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amenโ€ (Matthew 28:20 NKJV). When He said this to His disciples, they hadnโ€™t been born again.

Today, the Holy Spirit isnโ€™t just with you but in you alwaysโ€”when you feel it and when you donโ€™t. The Lord Jesus said, โ€œโ€ฆhe dwelleth with you, and shall be in youโ€ (John 14:17). Now that youโ€™re born again and have received the Holy Spirit, youโ€™ve become inseparably one with Him, mingled with Him in oneness: โ€œBut he that is joined unto the Lord is one spiritโ€ (1 Corinthians 6:17).

Therefore, His presence isnโ€™t sustained by your emotions; itโ€™s established by His truth. Being ignorant of this is the reason some have taught that when a Christian sins, fellowship with God is broken and the Holy Spirit withdraws from that person until repentance is made. But think about it: if the Holy Spirit truly left you, how would you ever come back? Who would guide and restore you?

The very fact that a Christian is corrected by the Holy Spirit and guided back into the light of Godโ€™s Word proves that the Holy Spirit never departed. This doesnโ€™t mean sin is permissible; rather, it means the Holy Spirit doesnโ€™t abandon Godโ€™s children. The Lord Jesus didnโ€™t say He would be with you only when you โ€œperformโ€ right. Thatโ€™s the power and glory of the New Testament relationship we have with the Father.

The Holy Spirit is your ever-present helper, teacher, guide and comforter. Without Him, you canโ€™t live the true Christian life. Heโ€™s the One who causes the Word to come alive in your spirit and helps you walk in righteousness. Therefore, cultivate the consciousness of His constant presence in you and with you. Walk every day with the assurance that youโ€™re never alone. Praise God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the blessed Holy Spirit who lives in me and abides with me forever. I walk in the consciousness of His indwelling presence, yielded to His guidance and His wisdom that mantles my heart. Iโ€™m guided, strengthened, corrected and empowered by the Spirit to live triumphantly today, bringing glory to you, in Jesusโ€™ Name. Amen.
