Last chance! ✨

Applications for the two sponsored Willow Training places close tomorrow, midnight on 15th August 2026.

Built by this community, before anyone knew who would receive them, these places are for students who are Black, Asian, Brown, or Indigenous to the Global South, including those with dual heritage from these communities, ready to begin their ministry training this autumn.

Global majority voices have long been underrepresented in spiritual leadership spaces. This is one small way we're working to change that.

A tree does not grow alone.

Its roots reach underground, tangled with others, sharing water, nutrients, even warnings of danger. What looks like a single, solitary trunk is often held up by an entire, unseen network beneath it.

Spiritual life can be like this too.

We are drawn to the image of the lone seeker, someone climbing toward the light. But growth rarely happens in isolation. It happens in connection: to teachers, to community, to traditions older than we are, to people walking a different path who still somehow help us find our own.

Perhaps the question is not "how do I grow on my own", but "who am I growing alongside."

What's holding you up right now?

Ordination is often described as a beginning. And it is...

But it can also feel like a shift into something less clearly held. Training gives you rhythm, structure, a shared experience of being accompanied. Then, almost overnight, that container changes.

What does my ministry look like in the real world? How do I begin? How do I create something that is both meaningful and sustainable?

A Year of Becoming was created for this exact space.

It's not further training, and it's not supervision. It's a year of monthly one-to-one coaching with the lovely Rev. Tania Menegatti, designed to help you shape your ministry in practice, with light support between sessions so you're not holding it all alone.

This is for OneSpirit ministers who are newly ordained, beginning paid ministry work, or navigating the shift from training into self-directed practice.

If that's where you are, this might be the space you didn't know you needed.

The Birch Pathway was the name of our online offering over the last two years, now known as Willow. Built for people fitting training around a full life. But online never meant distant...

Pictured: and Reverend Adam Gibbs-Digby, two of our newly ordained Birch Pathway ministers, in front of the most magical waterfall at The Birks of Aberfeldy in Scotland.

What started as classmates on a screen turned into a real friendship, one that pulled them across the country to stand together among the beauty of the natural world, just weeks before their ordination.

It's a reminder that the connections made in this training don't stay contained to a laptop. Students find each other in all kinds of ways, and sometimes that turns into a shared trip to Aberfeldy, and a friendship that carries on long after graduation.

Congratulations again, Lauren and Adam, and the rest of the Birch class. We're so glad your paths crossed here! 🌲

Have you heard?🍃

Two sponsored places for the 2026 Willow Training are now open, made possible by this community raising over £5,000 before a single applicant was even chosen!

Global majority voices have long been underrepresented in spiritual leadership spaces. This offering exists to change that, not as charity, but as recognition of leadership that has always been there and hasn't always been invited into the room. As an educational charity, we want to lead by example.

If you're Black, Asian, Brown, or Indigenous to the Global South, including those with dual heritage from these communities, and you've felt a quiet pull toward ministry training, this is specifically for you!

Priority is given to applicants who also hold one or more of the following:

Refugee or asylum seeking status
LGBTQIA+ identity
Disability or chronic illness
Economic hardship or class disadvantage
Other significant barriers to accessing spiritual or leadership training

Applications close midnight on 15th August 2026. That's 10 days away!

We're starting something new: a series of guest articles from the ministers and students within our community. ✨

First up is Lauren Gabrielle Foster, newly ordained through OneSpirit, who's spent the last few years travelling the world with a 36 litre backpack and very few fixed plans.

In her piece, she reflects on a question she's been living with for years: what is spirituality, really, once you strip away the robes, the rituals and the rules?

Her answer came slowly, through meditation halls, ceremonies, cathedrals and the ordinary moments in between...
