Boreland Village Hall Our community owned village hall was fully renovated in 2012.

With a commercial kitchen, great outdoor space & large car park, it's a fabulous venue for a wide range of events including small weddings, parties, funeral teas, meetings & training events. Our first community coffee morning will go ahead Tuesday 8th September, 10.30-12noon at Boreland Village Hall.

Free for community members, non community welcome for a £2 donation towards costs. Please let us know any dietary requirements 5 days in advance.

Nature Connections: Bat Walk- 7-8.30pm Thursday 3rd September

FREE Bat Walk, Talk and Crafts

Thursday 3 September, 7:00pm start. All ages.
PLEASE PRE-BOOK IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME ALONG

A talk on all things bats, followed by a guided walk to look for them.
Artist Jess Raine will be leading bat-puppet making and crafts in the hall for families before the walk.

Talk 7-7.30pm,
7.30pm-8pm Bat Crafts,
8pm Bat Walk

The bat walk will start when dusk sets in and last around 1 hour.

The Dumfries and Galloway Council Community Safety Team will be out and about as part of their late summer engagement activities with their mobile display trailer.

All prepped and super excited for the BORELAND DUCK RACE THIS Sunday 16th August!

1pm-3.30pm.
Duck race 3.15pm
Car boot set up and cake, plants and produce donation drop off from 12 noon. Please drop off donations as early as you can to give us time to set everything up.

This is our big annual fundraiser for Boreland Village Hall which helps with the running costs to keep our community building open.

There is still time to sponsor a duck! Ducks are £2 each and are on sale by emailing [email protected] as well as on the day.
CASH PRIZES to be won for the first 4 ducks across the finish line!
1st Place £50, 2nd £30, 3rd £15, 4th £5

- Book a car boot/market stall space, £5 a table. Bring your own table/gazebo. Pre booking preferred as there is limited space - email [email protected]
