After such a great day yesterday, it's a shame we have to warn of a tipped over portaloo in McJerrow Park.
Could all parents with little ones and dog walkers please avoid the area of the spill. ☹️

The big day is finally here and we can’t wait to see everyone out supporting our cherished traditions!

SAFE OOT, SAFE IN to our Cornet Arran Braid, Cornets Lass Robyn Cloy & Standard Bearer Gavin and all the riders joining us today!!

We’d love to see as many of you lining the streets to spectate as our Gala Queen, Chloe Hyslop and her retinue lead the parade down the high street!

Gala 2026

T’was the night afore Gala and aw through the toon,
Excitement was building for the best day in June.
Props aw made and costumes nearly done,
We’re no wantin’ rain, just a few hours o sun.
Crying the Fair is the first thing ye’ll hear,
Hopefully no drookit like oo were last year.
The Prinicipals and horses head off up the hill,
Leading oot yon cavalcade must be some thrill.

Riding the Marches and checking for wrong’uns,
Flag flying high on the gallops and long runs.
Quick stop for a hawf and a wee bite tae eat,
Then back tae the toon, there’s a parade tae meet.
Twelve o’clock means it’s time tae start
And the parade sets off fae the auction mart,
The band strikes up to lead Chloe, our Queen,
With her retinue waving, aw smiling and keen.

At the Toon Haw corner a chance for a rest,
Before the High Street and the judges tae impress.
The Principals are ready, feeling proud o themsels,
But jeest haud yer horses, we’re no gan tae half twelve.
Off we go and away roon the streets,
The crowds aw cheering and the kids catching sweets.
Back up they come, it’s been some do,
Then intae the park tae join the ice cream queue.

Massed bands at night with the drum’s opening rolls,
Then the Cornet’s last task is tae sign the scroll.
The Standard Bearer’s there tae hand back his banner,
Boundaries intact, all checked in fine manner.
Arran, Robyn and Gavin, haud yer heids up high,
The Chairman gives his thanks and then it’s time for goodbye.
No much left to do or say,
Just “See ye next year and FORWARD LOCKERBIE”

Bus service Disruptions

Between 10.00-14.30 & 17.30-19.00, we will not operate any service via Bridge Street or Sydney Place. During these times our buses will pick up from and drop off at Broomhouses Industrial Estate, Dryfe Road & Glasgow Road.

104 🚌
The 104 services will run only from 08:45 to 10:33 due to road closures. There will be no 104 service from 10:53 through to 14:05.

380 🚌
The 380, services will depart from Broomhouses Industrial Estate. Those coming in from Moffat will terminate the service at Broomhouses Industrial Estate.

381 🚌
The 381 services will follow the routes as per below:

The 382, 13:00 from Lockerbie will service Broomhouses Industrial Estate, Dryfe Road and Glasgow Road.
The 382, 14:10 from Lockerbie will service Broomhouses Industrial Estate, Dryfe Road and Glasgow Road if the street is still not accessible.
