On Friday 3rd October we held our (postponed) Annual Ceilidh in Loanhead where we raised an amazing £750 for good causes in Sutherland. Lots of great dancing by all attendees! We were thoughly entertained with music from Sandy Brechin and songs from Emma Scalpay and Andrew Mackenzie. Thanks to all who came along including some new faces! Storm Amy didn't put us off this time!

Well done David!! Recently our committee member David Mackay (Scourie) undertook the Sutherland four peak challenge - to climb the four highest peaks (all Munros) in Sutherland in one day (Over 24 Miles and almost 3000M/10,000ft of elevation). This covered Ben More Assynt and Conival, Ben Klibreck and Ben Hope.

David has received an amazing amount of support from everyone and has managed to raise an incredible figure of over £2300 for good causes based in Sutherland - thanks to all who sponsored! Whilst he wasn't quite able to finish the fourth (Ben Hope) due to a knee injury, we think he's done a brilliant job and well and truly earned our hillwalking respect!

Congratulations!
