Some lovely arrangements . . . .

This is a photo of some of the wonderful arrangements our members achieved during our July meeting. Rita, our treasurer, gave us some valuable tuition in flower arranging plus supplying us with all that we needed. Christine won first prize. Well done everyone on some really wonderful creations.

Treasure Hunt – Wednesday, 23rd September starting at 2.00pm in St. Peter's Church Hall, Lampeter. There will be a long and a short trail and refreshments will be served back at the Hall together with the Raffle draw and trophy presentation. Teams of up to 4 members can take part at the cost of £5.00 per team. Please return the Form to Ein Swyddfa by Monday, 14th September. Payment by cheque or BACS made payable to CFWI.

Some of our members had a lovely cuppa & chat at Penrallt Garden Centre this morning. Good food, great company, and the whole nursery to potter around in the sun. Good job I remembered to empty my boot 😁

Thank you to all our members who donated items for West Wales Domestic Abuse Service at our July meeting. We managed a boot full of bed linen, towels, toiletries, colouring books and pencils, and more. Also, two of our members took part in the mile a day May sponsored walks and raised over £300 for them.

Some of our members braved the heat on Wednesday for our coach trip to Picton Castle. Luckily it was not too hot and there was a cooling breeze so an enjoyable day was had exploring the gardens and the castle. Thank you to for their grant, some of which paid for the coach and the entrance fees 😊

Cuppa & Chat today at The Bishop's Park. We met up with Louise (the Project Manager) who took us on an interesting tour of the gardens where we found out about its 'Hidden History'. We followed this with a cuppa and a bite to eat in Stacey's Kitchen, where the staff were very welcoming even though we were half an hour late. A great morning made even better as we didn't need our raincoats 😊
