Wave of Light | Thursday 15 October 2026

Today, we invite you to join us in the Wave of Light by lighting a candle at 7pm and placing it safely in your window for one hour.

This global act of remembrance offers a moment to pause, reflect and remember those babies who are no longer with us. At 2wish, we support families affected by the sudden death of a baby, child or young adult and therefore invite the whole 2wish community to join us in the Wave of Light, to show solidarity with families missing their babies tonight, while also taking time to remember their own loved ones who have died, regardless of age.

As thousands of candles shine across the world, let yours be a light in memory, in love and in hope.

📢 Your feedback is shaping the future of 2wish

Earlier this year, our Service Quality Committee made up of trustees and staff invited everyone who has accessed support from 2wish over the past 14 years to share their honest feedback.

Thank you to the 111 people who responded anonymously. Your feedback highlighted the importance of:

⭐ Immediate support when it's needed most
⭐ Compassionate, dedicated staff
⭐ Accessible counselling and complementary therapies
⭐ Peer support and community connections

You also helped us identify where we can do better.

As a result, we've developed 7 key improvement themes and 35 actions that will help shape the future of our services.
We're sharing this timeline to show how your feedback is being used. We'll continue to keep you updated as we work through these improvements.

Today, our incredible Great Wall of China trekkers begin their challenge, taking on their first stretch from Beijing to Gubeikou.

Before they set off, some familiar faces wanted to send their best wishes and messages of support.

Today they'll trek 7.5km along one of the Great Wall's most ancient sections, climbing over 400 metres and taking in breathtaking views, all while raising vital funds to support families affected by the sudden death of a child or young adult.

Another wave of adventurers is heading for the Great Wall!

The 2wish team set off today, with the Community Hospice team following shortly behind them, both ready to take on one of the world's most iconic trekking challenges.

There will be steep climbs, countless steps, historic watchtowers and some spectacular views along the way, but most importantly, two teams walking with a purpose.

To everyone heading to China, congratulations on reaching departure day. Enjoy the challenge, support one another and take in every moment.
