In Supported Employment, we often focus, quite rightly, on supporting jobseekers to achieve their employment goals. But thereโ€™s another equally important customer in the process: the employer.

Employers arenโ€™t just the place where opportunities exist, they are partners in the journey. Recognising employers as customers means taking the time to truly understand their organisation, their culture, their expectations, and the needs of the role.

When we listen to employers and learn about their business, we can do what Supported Employment does best: match the right person to the right job.
This approach creates real value for everyone involved:

โ€ข Employers gain motivated, capable staff who meet their business needs
โ€ข Jobseekers access meaningful, sustainable employment
โ€ข Employment specialists build long-term partnerships with businesses

When we support both the employer and the jobseeker, we create a genuine win-win outcome, stronger workplaces, inclusive employment, and lasting success.

Supported Employment works best when itโ€™s built on partnership.

I am excited to be starting a training journey today with Inspira from Cumbria. I will be providing training and support on SEQF and the model of Supported Employment. Supported employment works because it provides structured, personalised support that helps people with additional needs secure and keep meaningful jobs. The five stages are needed to guide individuals step-by-step, from engagement and vocational assessment through to job matching, employer support, and long-term in-work support, ensuring sustainable employment outcomes

Training Evaluation is very important. I evaluate and measure the results gained from training to ensure it achieves its intended outcomes, improves learner performance, and provides clear evidence to continuously refine and develop the quality and effectiveness of future programmes.
I have collated the evaluation results from the TSI Training courses delivered over the last 12 months.
TSI Training helps staff turn good intentions into measurable independence. Across 68 evaluations from 31 organisations, 97% rated our course โ€œExcellentโ€ with an average score of 4.96/5. Attendees overwhelmingly Strongly Agreed that objectives were met (96%), participation was encouraged (94%), and trainers were highly knowledgeable (99%). If you support people into work or independent living, TSI gives your team practical, repeatable methods they can apply the next day

I have been delivering Training in Systematic Instruction training with Caerphilly Council this week. I was very happy to have the following feedback

"This training is brilliant, EVERYONE needs to go on this, whether it be for work or general parenting skills, Chris is a fantastic trainer, thoroughly enjoyed the training this week, and am excited to start putting these skills into practice in my workplace but also with my children as this training made me VERY aware that I am not helping anyone by doing too much for them when they are more than able to complete things independently.
10/10, could not recommend highly enough".
Shaun.

Thanks Shaun

Happy New Year! Wishing everyone an exciting and fulfilling 2026.

This week weโ€™re saying a fond farewell to our founder and chief executive, Andrea Wayman, who is retiring after 30 years of supporting disabled people into paid employment in Wales.

Andrea has been instrumental in helping more than 20,000 disabled people and individuals with barriers to work to access and sustain meaningful employment.
Weโ€™ll miss having Andrea as part of the team, but hope she has a well-earned rest!

Diolch yn fawr iawn Andrea!
