Last night we welcomed our newest member of the lodge Mr Karl Wigley which was an excellent ceremony and we wish Brother Karl Wigley all the best with his Masonic journey. He does a lot within the community already and supports those in need of help and guidance . We look forward in having Karl within the lodge where we continue to support the community and those who need help.

Last night Bro James Chiltern was raised to the third degree, which was an excellent ceremony and enjoyed by all Brethren.

Our Brother Mike Rutland has written a couple children’s books featuring “Gibson the Helpful Cat” featuring him and his antics in and around Llanidloes and further afield

Mike has very generously decided that for every book sold, 50p from the royalties will be donated to St Idloes Lodge charity chest to continue to help local charities and organisations in the area.

He is selling the books in his Pet Shop in Llanidloes and will be getting Great Oak Books to stock it, or you can get from Amazon in print or on kindle.

Based on what we think are true Masonic virtues, we follow Gibson as he does his best to help the community around him.

Please share far and wide as every copy sold adds to our charitable purse to help out our community.

If anyone wants a “signed copy” by Gibson, pop in the Pet shop with your book and I’ll get out the stamp pad for his footprint 😂

Last night we initiated our newest member Njabalo Garrett into our lodge which was an enjoyable evening and we welcome Brother Garrett and wish him well on his Masonic journey into Freemasonry. Well done 👍

Last night we presented a cheque to Suzanne, the organiser of Llanidloes Comedy Club to help them purchase some new stage lights . We recently attended one of the comedy club events in Llanidloes Rugby Club in December and was a very enjoyable evening .
It’s great that we can help out charities and organisations within the community and help make a difference 👍

Last month we welcomed our newest member, James Cole’s whose initiation ceremony was done on 13th January which was enjoyed by all who attended . Well done Bro. James and welcome to St Idloes Lodge .👍

Last night we held our annual “Ladies Evening” at Arthur’s Restaurant, where we bring our wives and partners for a night of entertainment and I must say it was a fantastic evening, where we had a raffle and raised money which will enable us to present a cheque for £500 to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, which do a fantastic job not only for the children but support for families with sick children. Thanks to all attended and we look forward to the next event 😁
