Llani Pantri - Llanidloes area Food Bank

Llani Pantri was a recent a recipient of the Anti Povertty Fund and we are grateful for the support.

💷 Every member of Powys County Council was given £5,000 each to spend on up to four anti-poverty projects in their ward, during the last 12 months (2025-26). These are the organisations they chose to support:

• Cllr Glyn Preston (Llanidloes): Llanidloes Youth Club (hot food, Christmas gifts and free period products), Flying Start (community events), Llanidloes Rotary Club (fireworks night)

• Cllr Angela Davies (Rhayader): Rhayader and District Community Support (cooking skills and healthy eating course)

• Cllr Fleur Frantz-Morgans (Llanidloes): Llani Pantri (foodbank), The Wilderness Trust (skills programme for 15-18-year-olds)

• Cllr Karl Lewis (Llandinam with Dolfor): Llandinam After School Club (trips and activities)

The money for this came from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.

Due to volunteer illness we have reduced opening today from 11.30pm to 12.30pm and again at 5.30pm to 6.30pm. So if you use Llani Pantri in the day, note we are closing at 12.30pm prompt. Thank you.

As a reminder this week's opening for Llani Pantri our rescheduled Christmas opening is today (Tuesday 23rd). This week we will be giving out two weeks of supplies, as we are closed next week.

We would like to thank each person and organisation for your donations this year, you have ensure we can support local families. And also a big thank you to out volunteers who have given up their time to be at the Pantri each week. Without that support we simply could not run.

Adter today, the Pantri reopens on the 8 January. There will be a trustee on call throughout the break, for emergencies only.

May we take this opportunity to wish you all a peaceful Christmas.

Hello all - our shortages this week are:

- Tinned meat
- Squash
- Biscuits
- Tinned minced beef
- Weetabix
- Rice Krispies
- Shredded wheat
- Washing powder
- Toothpaste
- Concentrated apple juice
- Ladies' deodorant
- Meat paste (jar)
- Brown sauce
- Shampoo

Any donations would be gratefully received. The donation basket in the Co-op is currently suspended whilst the refurbisments take place. You can donate these items at the Pantri (back of the old post office, gates opposite the church) on Thursdays 11am - 1pm or 5.30pm to 6.30pm. If these times are inconvenient, get in touch - we might be able to sort something else out.
