Do you have a young family?
Would they enjoy visiting an elderly person with you once a week or once a month?
There are lots of people in Llangollen and the Ceiriog valley who are quite isolated. Maybe away from family or maybe don’t have family.
A visit from a young family would bring so much joy and warmth into their lives.
Hopefully it would go 2 ways too. Children could enjoy the interaction and attention. They would also learn how good it feels to give.

We will give training and carry out dbs checks and references to keep everyone safe.

We traditionally match adult volunteers to isolated or lonely people in the area. Families as volunteers is a new venture so may be a bit slower to get into action

Could you spare an hour a week?
There are lots of people in llangollen and the Ceiriog valley who find themselves a bit isolated or missing company. Just visiting, having a chat or maybe taking them out for a coffee or to the shops would make a huge difference.
Ymestyn is a voluntary organisation that matches volunteers to isolated or lonely people. Or maybe people who have lost their confidence and want help to go out.
