🍓🫙 Celebrating Our Preserves 🍊🥄
The preserves table is a wonderful reminder that the harvest doesn’t end when the fruit is picked.
From mixed fruit jams and blackcurrant jelly to orange marmalade, beetroot chutney, piccalilli, pickled red cabbage, cranberry sauce and fruit cordial, this year’s entries celebrated the flavours of the seasons and the traditions of home preserving.
Every jar reflected patience, skill and care, transforming homegrown ingredients into something to be enjoyed long after summer has passed.

Thank you to everyone who shared their preserves with us. Your entries are a treasured part of the Llangoed Flower Show this year which took place on the 4th of July at Neuadd Bentref Llangoed Village Hall . .

Mae’r bwrdd cyffeithiau yn ein hatgoffa’n hyfryd nad yw’r cynhaeaf yn dod i ben pan fydd y ffrwythau a’r llysiau wedi’u casglu.
O jamiau ffrwythau cymysg a jeli cyrens duon i farmalêd oren, siytni betys, piccalili, bresych coch wedi’i biclo, saws llugaeron a chordial ffrwythau, roedd ceisiadau eleni yn dathlu blasau’r tymhorau a’r traddodiad o gadw bwyd cartref.
Roedd pob jar yn adlewyrchu amynedd, sgil a gofal, gan drawsnewid cynnyrch cartref yn rhywbeth i’w fwynhau ymhell ar ôl i’r haf fynd heibio.
Diolch i bawb a rannodd eu cyffeithiau gyda ni. Mae eich ceisiadau yn rhan werthfawr iawn o Sioe Flodau Llangoed. . .
