Back in June we teamed up with BRACE to get the town talking with a project that was supported by PAVO (UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund) to ask what do you love about Llanfyllin, and what would make it even better? We celebrated local volunteers and Marinke from BRACE has been beavering away pulling together ALL the ways local groups need an extra pair of hands - from music bods to event-runners to everyday helpers. We had a traintastic time today with Fiona Collins telling the tales of our journey - from Aerfen the Celtic goddess of war and fate, and the traditional personification of the River Dee | Afon Dyfrdwy, St Collen - from whom Llangollen gets its name - and the giantess and a tale of Owain Glyndwr. Big thanks to the families who were an absolute joy and to South Denbighshire Community Partnership and an incredibly big diolch yn fwar to Llangollen Railway who supported the project and whose staff came and had a chat with us and showed us the inside of the steam train - we had a chufftastic experience!

Charlotte visited the Welshpool community haven and Mencap Llanfyllin this summer, bringing a blend of gentle vocal exercises, group singing, laughter and fun, with sessions designed to support lung health, heart health and overall wellbeing!๐Ÿ’™
