Back at the 2006 Llanfallteg Village Fete, we had a Silent Auction, where people would place bids of auction prizes, nicely modelled here by Rich. Is £50 for a load of Logs a good price?

A look back at Llanfallteg Village Fete in 2006, and the Children's Tent and the famous Sweet Wheel. You can even see the old Rocket Climbing Frame in the top left, which was engineered at the National Power (NP) (now RWE Pembroke Power Station) power station in Pembroke back in the 80's/90's painted red and yellow - would of been fitting if it was Blue and Red like the NP logo perhaps? The Rocket Climbing Frame was removed years later, and replaced with a toddlers Play Area, which still remains.

Llanfallteg Park annual plant sale was a great community event on Saturday 16th May, 12 stalls of local plant growers, ceramics, preserves and wooden planters set up in the park. The Village Plant Stall was full to bursting of plants all kindly donated by residents supporting the Park. despite the rain 130 adults came through the gate.

The local Taf Valley Pony Club organised by Wendy King ran the BBQ, teas, coffees, cakes, all sold out at the end of the afternoon.
An enjoyable successful village event made possible by residents, friends and supporters of Llanfallteg Memorial Playing Fiel, thank you to them all, it is so appreciated by the Park Team.🥰

Hope you all had a good Weekend and Easter break. Most children go back to school tomorrow, so here's some relaxing sounds of Nature from a Llanfallteg sunrise taken from the hills looking over the river and Park. Enjoy 30 minutes so peace

Bingo Night and Tree Planting March 2026

Our third Bingo night in the village hall was another great success working towards raising funds for outdoor musical instruments to add to what we offer our community for family fun in the Park.
52 residents, families and friends turned up, bought bingo
and raffle tickets, some of the village hall committee members provided refreshments to buy.
We had 2 young people as our new callers, Lucas and Megan did an amazing job between them.
Our raffle numbers caller was the sparkling youngest member of the evening Leonora who was clear and loud enough for everyone to hear.
The line and raffle prizes were kindly donated by villagers, local businesses, family, friends and supporters of the Park.
Full House prizes were sponsored by Donna Jones, Ashley Holloway, Piers, Tig and family, The Sunday Fitness Group
An enjoyable evening was had by everyone and we raised an amazing £900, which makes us almost there to buy the Babel Drum.

On Sunday 22nd March we had a Tree Planting morning in the park. We were successful in a bid to 'Keep Wales Tidy' for an award of an Orchard of Heritage mixed fruit trees, Bug House, 2 Benches, Water Butt, 300 native woodland bulbs, watering can, books and tools. A great number of residents turned out and joined in, chose a tree and planted along the bank.
Andrew and Bev from the Sunday Fitness group organised cooking Bacon/ Sausage Rolls and drinks for everyone. Kerry from Keep Wales Tidy joined in with her family taking photographs and talking with everyone, she said it is an amazing village and wants to live here.

We're all looking forward to being able to pick apples, pears, plums and cherries in time to come.
Our next event is the annual Plant Fair on Saturday May 16th, watch out for details to follow.
