We have visions of the walled garden being a beautiful communal space with people growing veg together, harvesting herbs to make remedies, and fruit for preserves. A place to nourish and grow community.

We established our community interest company to help bring people together because ultimately we believe we need each other and we need to be connected to land and have the opportunity to be close to nature in our day to day lives.

We want to create somewhere where anyone willing to get stuck in and help care for each other and this space can find instant community any day of the week, with all sorts going on.

This coming weekend 16th & 17th May, we have an accredited first aid course on offer as an opportunity to gather in a friendly and inclusive environment and learn new skills that benefit the wellbeing of those around us.

Check out the first aid course post for more info or email [email protected]

But most of all just come and join us this summer in the sun one way or another. You’re always welcome 🌞💚🌳

‘Tis the season for copious amounts of mowing. Everything is growing so fast now. The grass at the campsite has been mowed twice in its short little existence 🌱 the walled garden is looking much more respectable too. Up-to-date pictures coming soon but needless to say there is always much to be done and it’s an absolute gem of a spot for growing veg and herbal remedies that can nourish and bring people together for feasting and learning.

✨UPDATE: New course dates confirmed – Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th May

🌿 Outdoor First Aid Course in the Woods – £90 (Usually £156)

Join us on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th May (8:45am–4:30pm) at Coed Llwynonn (LlanfairPG) for a 16-hour REC Outdoor First Aid course. A unique, community-led opportunity to train in a beautiful natural setting, with flexibility around bringing children along.

✔ Choose either the full 2-day qualification or a 1-day Emergency First Aid option (Saturday only)
✔ Young people welcome – ages 16+ can gain the full qualification; younger participants may also achieve certification depending on engagement

🌿 REC Outdoor First Aid Course – Coed Llwynonn Forest 🌿

We’re excited to offer a 16-hour REC Outdoor First Aid course taking place in the beautiful natural setting of Coed Llwynonn forest.

📍 Location: Coed Llwynonn, Plas Llwynonn, LlanfairPG, Anglesey LL61 6DQ

This is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, delivered by our experienced and well-respected trainer, Jonathan Collins. The training will take place outdoors, giving you the opportunity to learn practical, real-life skills in the very environment where they are most needed. Shelters will be available if needed in case of rainy weather.

🌟 Flexible options – 1 day or 2 days

You can choose the option that works best for you:
✔ 2-day REC Outdoor First Aid qualification – £90 (was £156)
✔ 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (Saturday only) – £90 (was £100)

🌱 A community-led opportunity

As a community interest company, we are able to offer this training at a significantly reduced rate, made possible by sharing the cost as a group and contributing towards the trainer’s fee ourselves.

We are offering this opportunity for two key reasons:

- to ensure we have enough trained adults to safely support the children and families attending our wider activities and sessions
- to make this valuable qualification more accessible to others in our community, with added flexibility around children being present
-
The £90 rate is dependent on an attendance number of 12 participants.

In the unlikely event that we don’t reach sufficient numbers, we will contact you in advance and offer either a full refund or the option to move your place to a later date.

👣 Children & teenagers welcome

We understand that arranging childcare can be challenging, particularly within the home education community, so children are very welcome to attend.
We will have some simple woodland play resources available for children to dip into and enjoy throughout the day.

Children are also welcome to stay close to their parents and listen to parts of the training, if they feel interested and are able to do so in a way that doesn’t interrupt the flow of the session. Any child who is curious and feels ready is welcome to engage with the learning in this way.

Teenagers are also very welcome to attend:

Participants aged 16+ can complete the full course and gain the full recognised qualification.

Younger participants may also be able to achieve the full certificate, depending on engagement and ongoing assessment throughout the course

All paid participants will receive a certificate of attendance, regardless of assessment outcome.

Please note that this isn’t a staffed childcare provision, so parents remain responsible for their children at all times.

To receive full certification, participants will need to complete the full training hours needed for the chosen training option (1 day or 2 days). If you feel your child may need you to step away for extended periods, it may be worth considering whether this course is the right fit at this time.

That said, Jonathan is very understanding, and as parents ourselves we recognise that children sometimes need us unexpectedly. Where possible, we will allow for short pauses to ensure no one misses key parts of the training.

🔥 Food & shared space

We will share warm, nourishing meals together around the fire:

Day 1: Vegan & gluten-free campfire soup with sourdough bread

Day 2: Vegan & gluten-free campfire chilli

There will also be a campfire available throughout the day if you’d like to bring something to cook. Please bring your own snacks as needed.

🌿 Join us

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain a meaningful qualification in a supportive, nature-based setting, while connecting with others in the community.

Spaces are limited and dependent on numbers, so please get in touch if you’d like to join or find out more.

A gorgeous snapshot from Saturday - Jake and his Granny who’s about to turn 90 🎉 making a wonderful team reclaiming this stunning piece of foraged timber. It’s a dream to see more of this type of inter generational collaboration happening in the forest and a reminder of how much we all need each other and how we each have something valuable and beautiful to contribute no matter what phase of life we’re in 🙏💚🌳

A lot has happened in the last three days and it’s starting to feel more and more homely at the campsite. We’re finding ourselves gravitating to it more as an area just to spend time and enjoy each other’s company. Check out our multiple side quests of the past few days! Also super chuffed with how the marketplace tea set looks on the reclaimed beechwood table. I think that’ll be a thing we offer our campers ✅😍🫖🍰
