The Guild of Television Camera Professionals (GTC) is an independent craft organisation supporting and encouraging excellence in all aspects of TV, digital and film camerawork. Run by camera professionals, ‘the Guild’ was formed in 1972 and has over 1600 members, including some in countries as far afield as Australia, South Africa, the USA, Russia and Singapore. The majority though live in the UK,

are mainly freelance and work in all aspects of professional camerawork – everything from corporate production and online content through to news, current affairs, reality and documentary, to big-budget dramas. Our roots are in television and traditional 'broadcasting' but these days we embrace those working across a much wider range of moving image platforms and disciplines. We welcome to our professional community all those interested in working with cameras – everyone from students and those just starting out, right through to the most experienced and highly regarded in our industry.
