Great project to be a part of. Alex and his team have great attention to detail and they're very easy to work alongside. Liam's been busy on the Internals of this one as I've been on holiday, but glad to get it all done on time on a very tight schedule!

With the weather being so poor lately, I haven’t had the chance to get back and take more photos of this job we completed towards the end of last year.

The existing render was like concrete, so hacking it off would have only damaged the brickwork. Because of this, the entire house had to be sandblasted to remove the paint. Any hollow areas were then hacked off and built back out over two coats to achieve a nice flat surface.

We then stippled all areas to provide a better key and help control suction. After that, stainless steel mesh was fixed across the whole property using plugs, screws and washers.

The next stage was applying two scratch coats, installing fresh bells and reveals, and finally finishing with a 6mm white roughcast. The plinth was finished with a brush finish to complete the look.

The transformation this house has undergone is unreal — the grey and white complement each other perfectly. A fantastic result all around 😍

Plastering Apprentice Wanted – Start ASAP

We are looking for a 1st or 2nd year plastering apprentice to join our team on a trial basis, with the opportunity to begin full-time in the New Year for the right candidate.

You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of plastering, including machine rendering, ensuring you are fully supported through your college requirements.

Requirements

- Driving licence preferred, but not essential.
If you do not drive, you must be able to reliably get to and from Llanfair PG each day.

- Team player – must be able to work well with others.

- Hard-working, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude is essential.

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas. I want to thank all my customers for their continued support. It’s been a very busy year, and we’re already booked up until the beginning of April next year.

Week commencing 15/12/2025 (1 week)

I’m looking for an experienced plasterer to assist with skimming work on a job in Rhosneigr during the week commencing 15 December 2025.

Duration: 1 week (with the possibility of further work in the New Year)

Pay: Rate to be agreed following proof of quality workmanship

Requirements:

Reliable and punctual

Good standard of finish

Able to work efficiently alongside others

Must be able to drive
