608 days later, we're one day away from opening Y Stryd.

It's taken real resilience to get here. From bare walls to a fully functioning café and safe space for young people, and even this last week we've had to dig deep. That's a credit to everyone who works here.

But the biggest thank you goes to you, our community. The list is endless. Put simply, none of this would have been possible without you.

So tomorrow, on World Mental Health Day, we'll be celebrating this together and having open conversations about mental health support for young people in our community.

Join us from 9am to 3pm. We can't wait to see you and serve you coffee and cake.

Ever wanted to do something small that actually matters? ☕

Meet our Pay It Forward board.

When you grab a coffee at Y Stryd, you can buy an extra one for someone who needs it. Write a message on your tag and pop it on the board, and anyone can take it down and swap it for a hot drink. No questions, no explaining, no awkwardness.

Sometimes the hardest part is walking through the door. A free hot chocolate and a kind word make that a bit easier.

Every tag on that board is someone in Llanelli saying "we've got you."

Huge thank you to Lee at Taffy Skip Hire and Adam from Steelman Exterior Cleaning Solutions for kindly donating their services to help us get Y Stryd ready to open next Saturday! 🙌

Taffy Skip Hire provided us with a free skip for all our building waste, and Adam has generously donated a free window cleaning service for Y Stryd for a whole year.

Save the date: 10 October. Wales’ first mental health café for young people opens its doors.

It started as an idea- now 570 later we are ready to support our young people.

Here’s how it works:

In the day we’re open as a normal café to everyone with coffee, cakes and hot food (including any young people needing support). Every penny goes straight back into supporting young people.

In the evenings, the space is exclusively dedicated to young people themselves.

No referral. No waiting list. Just a door any young person can walk through.

Come see it open. Ribbon cut at 9am, our new menu served all day, right here on Inkerman Street.

📚 Freshers Fayre vibes at Coleg Sir Gâr and Ceredigion, Llanelli! 💙

Sarah and Angharad are out today meeting students at the Graig Campus Freshers Fayre, chatting all things mental health and letting students know exactly what support is out there.

Starting college is a big step and it's the perfect time to remind students that it's OK not to be OK. Whether it's exam stress, homesickness, or just finding your feet, we're here for you.

Massive thank you to Adam and the team at rickswoods for sorting our flooring at .stryd

This was a big job. The concrete slab underneath was broken and uneven, and nothing else could go down until it was fixed, so it was holding the whole build up.

They repaired the slab, screeded it smooth and laid a proper slip-rated safety floor throughout.

Job’s done and we’re now really close to opening the doors.

Diolch o galon, Adam couldn’t have got here without you.
