Our newest project at Foothold Cymru is all about digital inclusion.

The project provides free, friendly support to help you get online and stay safe.

Last week some of our staff and volunteers got together for a team lunch.

We enjoyed a homemade squash soup (using frozen squash from a staff members veggie patch last year!) along with some fresh crusty bread. Delicious!

The soup was very easy to make with only 6 ingredients.

🍲 Squash soup 🍲
- 1kg roasted squash
- 2 onions diced
- 1 can of coconut milk
- 2 teaspoons of garlic granules
- 2 stock cubes
- Salt and Pepper to taste

It was lovely to spend our break together enjoying a catch up!

This week is Cervical Screening Awareness Week.

Going for your cervical screening could save your life.

Women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64 are invited every five years.

The best way to prevent cervical cancer is to go for your cervical screening (smear) test every time you are invited.

A big thanks to all the organisations that supported the Wellbeing Wednesday event held on Wednesday 10th June at the Old Police Station in Llanelli.

The rain mainly held off apart from a few showers! And it was great to see everyone that came along for a chat.

The event provided advice and support around a range of topics including housing, financial, emotional support and volunteering opportunities.

Bright Sparks Repair Cafe Event 💻️

Our Bright Sparks workshop will be open to the public next week for another repair cafe session.

Our Young Ambassadors will be available to diagnose and provide options for the repair of your electronic devices.

Join us for Wellbeing Wednesday this Wednesday from 10:00 - 14:00! There will be a number of services advertising what they have on offer as well as plenty of free refreshments and cake!!

We were delighted to be able to donate 500 emergency foil blankets to the RNLI station in Burry Port to support the amazing work they do everyday on our coastline.

A big thanks to the Cwtch Cynnes team for arranging this donation and thank you to the RNLI for the invitation to visit your station.
