🏔️From Snowdon to Lebanon - £545 Raised for Mawtin Al Amal

Back in July, Tamara, Amelie and Rosie took on the challenge of climbing Snowdon to raise vital funds for the Mawtin Al Amal Education Centre, helping support children in Lebanon’s refugee camps with access to education, healthcare and the opportunity to build a brighter future. ❤️

We’re delighted to share that their climb raised an amazing £545! A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored the challenge, shared the fundraiser, or offered their encouragement. Every pound represents kindness, solidarity and a belief that we can make a difference, even when the people we are supporting are many miles away.

At Mawtin Al Amal, these funds will support their work in three vital areas:

❤️ Education – providing children in Lebanon’s refugee camps with access to quality education, helping them build knowledge, confidence and the skills they need for a brighter future.
❤️ Psychosocial Wellbeing – creating safe, supportive environments where children can heal, build resilience and regain a sense of stability and hope through structured activities and community support.
❤️ Health & Humanitarian Relief – improving the health and wellbeing of displaced families through health education, essential humanitarian assistance and practical support to help meet their immediate needs.

From the slopes of Snowdon, to refugee communities in Lebanon, this fundraising effort shows how a relatively small act of kindness can travel a very long way. Thanks again to everyone who donated, shared and supported!

🌟 Feeding families in Need - Meat Parcel Distributions 🌟

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, we were able to provide fresh meat to some of the most vulnerable families living in refugee camps.

As part of this project, two animals were sacrificed, and the meat was distributed to 35 refugee families, helping them prepare nutritious meals for their households. For many of these families, access to fresh, protein-rich food is extremely limited, making this support especially meaningful.

Your donations are bringing comfort, dignity, and essential nutrition to those facing hardship. Every contribution helps us reach more families in need and continue our mission of supporting vulnerable communities.

We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support. Together, we can continue to provide vital food assistance and bring hope to families who need it most.

To everyone who donated, shared, and supported this effort, thank you always ❤️

💧We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the well drilling project, made possible through your generous and ongoing support! 💧

Despite the emergence of obstacles in the form of stubborn rocky ground and adverse weather conditions (including snowfall!), the team remained committed and persistent, determined to achieve the project’s goal.

After 34 days of drilling, we were grateful to finally reach water! The well produced water with a strong flow rate of 2 inches, marking a successful and life-changing outcome for the area. Water is life. The availability of this water source will play a vital role in irrigating agricultural lands and crops, directly supporting farming activities and improving productivity. More importantly, it will contribute to enhancing the living conditions of local farmers and their families, who have endured years of drought, instability, and the devastating effects of war.

This well is not merely an infrastructure project; it is a source of hope, resilience, and renewal. It represents a sustainable step toward restoring livelihoods and strengthening food security in a region that has suffered for far too long. While we rejoice greatly in this achievement, there remains a deep sense of sadness in our hearts that Heulwen is not present to share these joyful and meaningful moments. It is achievements such as these that quietly strengthen our resolve to continue the work ahead and look forward to sharing news of new and impactful projects in the months to come.

We extend our deepest gratitude to you for your trust, support, and belief in this project. Your contribution has transformed hardship into opportunity and has given the community a chance for a more secure and dignified future. ❤️
