My respect for King Charles is mixed. I do find it hard to forget his bad relationship with Diana, but I respect highly his views on protecting the environment - views he had way before it became the norm. He’s also shown a deep interest and respect for other faiths for decades. We live in a multi faith/ multi cultural society - it is now time to respect all people of all faiths. It is now time to to develop a greater understanding of other faiths, and not just go by rumours. Christianity does not have a monopoly on truth. The traditions of Christianity are man made, not Jesus made. Christianity must realise this, and change. It’s got to realise that some of its teachings have been wrong, and have the humility to make this known to its followers.
The Coronation had a strong emphasis on the new King being separated out for servanthood. I was disappointed that the big day of volunteering ( yesterday) that Charles had implemented, did not feature him on the news last night, volunteering. I saw Kate, and William and their children volunteering, and the Prime Minister and his wife, but no Charles. I felt he missed out on a great opportunity, to prove that he intends to serve the people.

The Tree Of Life grows and matures. Jesus discards bad fruit - fruit that values any ‘Others’ as less. Females, g**s, ethnic minorities, disabled etc etc. Jesus breaks down the institutions that keep this bad fruit as central - keeping ‘Others’ in lower positions, not letting them thrive to the best of their abilities. Jesus despises these institutions, especially those who proclaim to follow him. Those who do not take Love from the Bible, but only dated laws that keep those in power, still in power.

Jesus is angry about the amount of misogyny in the church. Even more angry when evangelical leaders disguise it as doctrine- saying - it is right that men should lead and women should submit.

Yes, Jesus would not look kindly at Qatar and its horrific treatment of homosexuals, but he would also point the finger at the nations criticising, and say- ‘Hypocrites - for thousands of years you have persecuted homosexuals and even today some of you are secretly agreeing with Qator. Read the Bible with Compassion, and take the verses genuinely inspired by God. Have the wisdom to determine the verses that were intended for the society of the day ( thousands of years ago). Compassion is continually evolving -embracing more and more of the marginalised.

The Trussell Trust is launching an emergency appeal. It doesn’t think all it’s food banks will survive this winter. Food and toiletries needed, but most of all money.

Jesus would be weeping with the poor people, -struggling today with the rising cost of living. He would also be angry with churches that preach tithing. Those churches that pressurise poor people to give a tenth, just the same as the rich. The rich are still rich when they give a tenth. The poor go without food or heating. This is the reality.

At the time of The Queen’s death, Jesus would have been with the mourners - comforting them.
Now he would be going around many churches, thanking them for doing a wonderful job, in providing a space for people to mourn.

Jesus brought to mind the hypocrites. Today his anger( his righteous anger) would be to those who are sick of seeing an over representation of g**s on television. This is because g**s have been marginalised and persecuted for centuries - there is a lot of ground to make up. If you truly love people - all people, be considerate and allow those who have been shunned, to have this bigger platform.

Today Jesus would be with the poor - supporting them, as much as possible - especially those who have been affected by -climate change, the Ukraine war and soaring food and energy costs. He would be working at the food banks. Educating people on climate change and how our own lives can reduce carbon emissions. He would be writing to his MP, trying to get justice. He would be continuing to help Ukrainian refugees.
