PRIME Cymru

PRIME Cymru PRIME Cymru is a registered charity, supporting people aged 50+ in Wales to secure work, set up a business or upskill through training and volunteering.

We were founded in 2001 by HRH The Prince of Wales, in response to letters he had received from many people saying that they felt that after the age of 50 they were on the ‘scrap heap’ and they had faced insurmountable problems in securing paid employment because of their age.

"I believe we should be celebrating ageing, not fearing it." 👏

“I feel passionately about showing people that it is never too late to try something new, rediscover joy, change direction, or make a difference in the world,” says Genny, an Campaign Champion.

We’re so excited to see the creative, insightful, and brilliant ways you plan to mark Age Without Limits Day in June.

Genny will be holding an event in Kent, and explains, “Last year I organised my first Age Without Limits event and it was a wonderful experience that taught me so much. This year I’m delighted to work alongside CVS North West Kent, bringing people together to celebrate the value, experience, and wisdom that comes with age. The event will include inspiring talks, discussions around ageing in the workplace, and a fun laughter and wellbeing session.”

Event co-host Julie Collins, of CVS North West Kent, said: “I decided to get involved with Age Without Limits because I believe older generations hold a never-ending wealth of knowledge and experience that should be valued and shared with younger people. Our workplaces, communities, and families benefit enormously from the insight, stability, and understanding that come with experience."

Julie added, "I also believe that age should never define what we can achieve. Opportunities, growth, learning, and purpose do not have an expiry date.”
