💜 The Scheme Livi at the Practitioners Employability Partnership event! 💜
Today, our Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, Aidan and Mark, had the privilege of speaking at the Practitioners Employability Partnership event at Livingston Football Stadium.
Both shared their lived experiences, their personal journeys and the story of how The Scheme Livi came to be.
We also shared our personal and professional perspectives on how best to support people in our communities who need it most, discussing what has worked for us as a charity and why we believe a person-centred approach is so important.
We were also open and honest about some of the systemic issues we believe aren’t working, both regionally and nationally, and where we feel things need to change if we’re serious about improving people’s lives.
We were made to feel incredibly welcome, and it was a privilege to contribute to such a worthwhile event.
This was our third event in the space of just five or six days, and every single one has been incredibly meaningful.
We’ve given a lot of emotional energy over these past few days, but we’ve gained so much back in return through the people we’ve met, the conversations we’ve had and the experiences we’ve shared.
We’re incredibly proud to have been there today, sharing not only our own journeys, but also the values, experiences and approach that underpin everything we do at The Scheme Livi 💜
