Braid House Day Centre We support people aged 50+ with complex care needs including dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and have another age-related condition.

Some of our clients have mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety and loneliness.

Our wonderful staff took to the stage to perform their acts at our carnival for our clients! 🎪👏

There was lots of laughter, smiles, and entertainment — a brilliant day enjoyed by everyone. A huge well done to our staff for getting involved and making it so special! ❤️

Vacancy: Part-Time Minibus Driver

We are looking for a reliable and friendly part-time minibus driver to join our team at Braid House Day Centre.

Hours:
Monday to Thursday
8:30am – 11:00am and 2:30pm – 4:30pm

The role involves transporting our clients safely to and from the day centre, so a caring attitude and good communication skills are essential.

Applicants must hold a valid driving licence with a D1 entitlement and be confident driving a minibus.

📢 A LITTLE CLARIFICATION ABOUT OUR FUN FAIR 🎪🍭

We just wanted to clarify something following a few enquiries from families about our upcoming Braid House Fun Fair Fundraiser.

Although our flyer says “Come along and join in the fun!”, the event is for our Braid House clients to enjoy while they are attending the centre. ❤️

It is being organised as a fun activity for our clients, with games, prizes, sweet treats and a raffle, while also helping us raise much-needed funds to support the work we do at Braid House. 🎯🎟️🍬

So, unfortunately, this isn't a public event and isn't open for family members or members of the public to attend.

We apologise for any confusion the wording on the flyer may have caused and hope this clears things up. 😊

Most importantly, we're looking forward to giving our clients a fun-filled day and lots of smiles! 🎪❤️

What a lovely way to end another week at Braid House! 💙

Our days have been filled with laughter, friendship, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy time together. From getting creative and taking part in activities to sharing stories and enjoying a good chat, there has been something for everyone.

The dressing up and karaoke brought lots of fun and laughter, with everyone getting involved and enjoying themselves. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear everyone singing along – moments like these make such happy memories. 🎤🎭🥰

We hope everyone has a relaxing weekend and look forward to another week of fun, friendship, and happy memories. 🌼

It’s been another lovely week at Braid House, with our clients making the most of every day. Whether enjoying activities, sharing conversations over a cup of tea, or simply spending time with friends, there have been plenty of smiles and happy moments throughout the week. 💜

We have also had a week of trips, and all of the clients enjoyed getting out and about together. A real highlight has been the many moments of laughter, connection, and fun shared along the way. 🥰 Seeing everyone enjoying themselves and making the most of each day has made it a truly special week.

We wish you all a wonderful weekend and look forward to another week of making memories together. 🌸
