Yesterday, our Moore House Group Dunkeld Campus community came together at the beautiful Birnam Arts to celebrate our annual Summer Prize Giving. 🎁

The afternoon was all about celebrating the achievements and progress of our children and young people. This year, each pupil was presented with an animal that reflected their unique strengths and character, making every award that little bit more special. 🦊🦉🦦🦅

We also marked some very special milestones, such as celebrating our first ever school leaver who has been with us throughout their entire high school journey, from S1 right through to S6. Additionally, we also said goodbye to our wonderful English teacher, Owen, who is retiring this summer and will be missed by staff, pupils and families alike.

To round off the afternoon, everyone who attended was entered into our raffle which included 4 different prizes. We are incredibly grateful to the local businesses who donated prizes, including ARAN Bakery, Land Rover Experience Scotland and The Canyoning Company. Congratulations to the winners! 👏

Finally, we want to say a big thank you to our special prize giver this year, Steve from Fordie Estates, for helping us celebrate the day. Steve has become a familiar face to many of our young people through our outdoor learning partnership, where he has played a huge part in helping them build confidence, learn new skills and achieve so much this year.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate another fantastic year. We hope all of our young people, families and staff have a fantastic summer break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in August. ☀️

This year, The Moore House Group Dunkeld Campus is proud to support Macmillan Cancer Support through a special fundraising raffle at our Summer Prize Giving. 💚

Cancer has sadly touched the lives of many within our community, including our own staff and families. That's why we want to give back to a cause that provides invaluable practical, emotional, and financial support so that no one has to face it alone.

Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, including ARAN Bakery, Land Rover Experience Scotland & The Canyoning Company, we have a range of fantastic prizes up for grabs. 👀

To get everyone involved, every attendee will receive one FREE raffle ticket upon arrival! 🎟️

While your ticket is on us, we kindly suggest making a voluntary donation when you collect it. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Macmillan.

As part of their qualification, our Dunkeld Campus pupils took on the challenge of transforming an unused outdoor area into a thriving garden from scratch. 🪴

The project involved everything from researching local wildlife and conservation, to planning the space, choosing suitable plants, and carrying out the practical work needed to bring their ideas to life. 🌱

Pupils selected a range of pollinator-friendly plants and herbs, helping to create a space that will benefit both the school community and local wildlife for years to come 🐝

Along the way, they developed valuable skills in teamwork, communication, planning, problem-solving, and environmental awareness. They even identified potential challenges, such as local deer and rabbits, and helped put solutions in place to protect their hard work. 🧑‍🌾

Most importantly, they have created something they can be proud of; a space that will continue to grow, flourish, and be enjoyed by others long into the future.
