Registered Charity Number 1048294

As a specialist Foundation Trust, Liverpool Women's is dedicated to the health of women and their families. Each year, the Trust delivers over 8,000 babies, carries out 10,000 gynaecological procedures and cares for 1,000 preterm infants on our Neonatal Unit and places as much importance on their emotional welfare as the

y do on delivering high standards of clinical care. Putting patients first is at the heart of everything they do. That's why our aim, as a registered charity, is to raise funds on behalf of the Trust to enhance overall patient experience - the little extra that goes beyond what is provided by the NHS and can make a big difference to the comfort and well being of patients. You can fundraise for any area of the hospital that you would like to support, such as Maternity, Neonatal, Honeysuckle Team, Gynaecology, Genetics and Reproductive Medicine.

Thank You Thursday 💜🧸

This week, we’re sending a huge thank you to Jim McMillan and Kate Stewart who played a huge role in Preston Davies’ vigil this June.

In his memory, they asked people to bring teddy bears — and those bears have now found new homes, bringing comfort to babies and families in neonatal units across the north west.

What a beautiful way to keep Preston’s memory alive. Thank you for thinking of our smallest patients at such a difficult time. 🧸💜

💜 Thank You Thursday 💜

This week, a huge thank you to lilas light — set up in memory of Lila, who sadly passed away aged 5, to support siblings who’ve lost a brother or sister.

They’ve donated 20 care bags to our Honeysuckle department, bringing comfort to families experiencing baby loss.

Thank you for turning Lila’s memory into support for others and for thinking of our families 💜

Meet Super Sam 💚💜

Born at just 24 weeks and given a 50% chance of survival, Sam spent 139 days being cared for on our neonatal unit after life-saving surgery at Alder Hey.

Six years later, Sam’s mum Zelena is helping make this year’s Miracle Babies Ball possible - because she knows first-hand what this care means to a family.

Every ticket and donation helps ensure the neonatal unit can keep providing the very best care possible, for the next family who needs it.

✨🎟️ get in touch via [email protected] to get involved.

💜 Thank You Thursday 💜

Today we’d like to show our appreciation for the Southport Soroptimists, who continue to champion our cause and support investment into improved healthcare for women in our city.

At Monday’s meeting, our Head of Fundraising, Kate Davis, attended to talk about Helica — a new project supporting the care of women suffering with endometriosis — and received a £1,000 cheque, collated through the donations the group have made and fundraised for.

Support from wonderful groups like this one in Southport is so important, and greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for your continued support 💜

Meet Charlotte 💜

She is an emergency nurse practitioner on our Gynaecology Emergency Department at Liverpool Women's University Hospital

Last year she and her team ran 10k for the department raising funds and providing black leggings, given with dignity to vulnerable women who need them most.

Charlotte says the support they received was overwhelming — and every penny raised genuinely improves the care we can offer to women, babies and families across our hospitals.

This September, Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity is the headline charity for the BTRLIVERPOOL Running Events Women’s 5k & 10k, and as a fundraiser, YOU get to choose which area of the hospital your fundraising supports. 🏃‍♀️💜

Would you support the Gynae Emergency Department, like Charlotte? Or another area close to your heart?

Send us a DM, email [email protected] or set up your JustGiving page using the link in our bio and we’ll be in touch with all of the info you need 💜
