We have recently introduced a period poverty box in Sefton UNISON.
Did you know that millions of people worldwide are forced to miss school, work, or daily activities simply because they can't afford menstrual products?
We believe that no one should have to choose between basic hygiene and other essential needs. That’s why we’re organizing a Period Poverty Donation Drive to assemble and distribute Period Poverty Boxes—each filled with essential menstrual hygiene products like pads, tampons and panty liners to those in need in our community.
How You Can Help:
We are currently collecting donations to help fill these boxes. Every contribution—no matter the size—makes a meaningful difference.
🩸 Donate Products: We’re accepting unopened packages of pads, tampons, panty liners, reusable products, and personal hygiene items.
Donation Drop-Off: Please call Sefton LG UNISON Branch 0151 928 9911 to check the office is open.
These boxes will be available in all Sefton Council buildings as well as in New Directions and Chase Heyes.
Together, we can help break the stigma and support those experiencing period poverty with dignity, compassion, and care.
Thank you for your generosity.
