🏆 More brilliant news for Halton Youth Cabinet!

We’re incredibly proud to share that the young people are finalists for the Environmental Award at the BBC Radio Merseyside Make a Difference Awards! 🌱

Their Binimal campaign has been encouraging people across Halton to think about litter, recycling and taking better care of their local environment. ♻️

It’s fantastic to see a campaign led by young people getting this kind of recognition and showing what can happen when young people are given the opportunity to turn their ideas into action.

It was brilliant to see all the people who helped bring St Helens’ new graffiti mural to life come together for its official launch.

Their creativity is now part of the town centre, creating a bold welcome to St Helens that can be spotted as you arrive by bus. 🚌

A fantastic opportunity for young people to make their mark on their town and create something the whole community can enjoy.

Next time you’re heading into St Helens, keep an eye out for it! 👀🎨

🎶 Looking for something different for your teenager to do?

Diversionary is a dedicated DJ event for young people aged 14–16, giving them the chance to enjoy the music, atmosphere and excitement of a big night out, but in an event created specifically for their age group.

📅 Friday 25 September
🎧 Live DJs and a festival-style atmosphere
👥 Exclusively for ages 14–16
🎟️ Tickets £12.50

We know teenagers want opportunities to socialise, enjoy music and have some independence. Diversionary is about giving them a space where they can do exactly that, alongside other young people their own age.

What a day in Victoria Park! 🙌

We had an amazing time at our community event in Widnes with the Halton team, bringing together loads of activities, organisations and familiar faces from across the community.

A huge thank you to Vibe UK Outdoors, Real Skate Northwest, Halton Family Hubs and Cheshire Police for joining us, and to everyone who came down, got involved and made the day what it was. 💚

Need something to do on Monday? We’ve got you covered! 🙌

Victoria Park Community Event is happening this Monday, with four hours of FREE activities for young people, families and the wider community.

Expect climbing, skating, sports, face painting, youth activities, the Cheshire Police Summer Roadshow and plenty of local organisations to meet along the way.

🎣 A fierce fish-off to finish Reel Deal!

For our final HAF Reel Deal session, the group headed up to Newbridge Fisheries for a day of fishing, friendly competition and some seriously impressive catches.

Around 70 fish were caught between the group as everyone battled it out in our final fish-off! 🐟🏆

A brilliant way to round off the programme after weeks of building skills, confidence and plenty of patience by the water.

Well done to everyone who took part! 👏🎣
