Registration for conference is now live! ✨

“A Decade of Action: The Healthy Weight Declaration after 10 Years,” will reflect on the declaration’s implementation, evolution, and impact on local policy and population health. Delegates will explore whole-systems approaches to promoting healthy weight, share best practice, and discuss how the declaration supports partnership working. The conference will also address the growing concerns associated with the commercial determinants of health and how the declaration helps local leaders respond to commercial influences and their impact on public health.

We’re thrilled to see this morning’s announcement from the Department for Education that £600 million is being invested to extend the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme for a further 3 years. 🎉

HAF provides vital support to children and young people from households on lower incomes, easing the pressure on family budgets, enhancing access to enriching and physical activities, and ensuring healthy meals during the school holidays.

This is such a positive step and fantastic news for families and communities across the country. 🙌
