Sometimes helping a family rebuild starts with something we take for granted.

Meet a single dad who, after overcoming a host of obstacles, is now raising four children — all thriving and safe. Yet, simple essentials like beds weren’t possible for him while caring full time, with no extended family nearby.

Thanks to Time for Bed, the children each received a brand-new single bed bundle: frame, mattress, bedding, pillows. This is what dignity, safety and comfort looks like. And it’s what every child deserves.

We’re running to give children a safe place to sleep! 🛏️💙

This weekend, a team from FRC Group is taking on the Liverpool Half Marathon & 10 Miler to raise vital funds for Time for Bed. So far, they’ve raised an incredible £1,300—helping to provide beds for children in poverty across Merseyside.

Claire Williamson, Director of Finance, Performance & Impact at FRC Group, who is also running:
“The team at FRC do amazing things day in and day out to support our mission to end furniture poverty. Being able to take part in such a big event with some of my colleagues to help raise awareness of the charity and the difference we make will be a proud moment for us all. The team running on behalf of the charity have raised £1,200 so far, which will have such a positive impact for children in poverty—helping their health and wellbeing by ensuring all children in Merseyside have a bed to sleep on. And that is all the motivation we need to get us round the track on the day!”

A fantastic milestone has been acheived by our campaign. 400 chidren across Merseyside are now sleeping in their own bed. A very big thank you to all those who have been part of achieving this. But with 18,000 children in the area living without a bed of their own, there is still so much more we need to do!!!
