Lumiere

Lumiere Limitless potential, infinite possibilities. Creating a world where children & families break barriers and reach for the stars

Honestly, what an amazing session this was 🥹💚

Just our kids being kids 🥹💚 and I absolutely loved watching them today.

As soon as they walked through the door, Darcy took their mobiles and iPads off them and worked her magic ✨😂 and it was just so lovely seeing them all playing, laughing and enjoying themselves.

A massive thank you to the Eleanor Rathbone Foundation for making this possible for our children. We are so, so grateful 💚

A couple were away on holiday and one was poorly today, so we missed them, but honestly can’t wait to have them all together for the next one 🥹💚

These little moments mean so much to us at Lumiere. Just seeing them happy, having fun and being themselves is everything. 💚

These words from Melody’s dad, Raheem . 🥹💜

He’s seen the reality behind closed doors.

The appointments. The sleepless nights. The strength it takes to keep going. The siblings who so often put their own feelings aside. The families who carry more than most people will ever see.

This is why Lumiere was created.

Because no family should have to walk this journey alone.

In just over a year, Lumiere has supported more than 1,500 families, giving them understanding, connection and a place where they finally feel they belong. But there are thousands more still waiting.

✨ We have some HUGE news coming soon… but we can’t do it without you.

We’re about to take another MASSIVE step forward, and we need as many people as possible to be part of this journey.

Please don’t just watch this video and scroll on.

Share it.
Tag someone who believes in what we’re building.
Tag a business.
Tag a celebrity.
Tag your employer.
Tag an organisation that should know about Lumiere.

Help us get this message in front of the people who can help us change even more lives.

Because one share could reach a family who needs us.
One tag could lead to a life-changing partnership.
One introduction could open a door that changes everything for thousands of families.

Together, we can make sure no parent feels alone, no sibling feels forgotten, and no child is left without the support they deserve.

Let’s show the world what this community can do.

The next chapter for Lumiere starts now. ✨💜

It’s my day off… but when you build something from your heart, does a day off ever really exist? 💜

Today wasn’t about meetings or big milestones. It was Hobbycraft, a food wholesaler, slow cooking tomorrow’s lunch for Lumiere, printing and sorting our new menus, restocking the snacks (thanks, Melody 💜), dropping kids off, forgetting half the shopping, a last minute Costco trip… then my car broke down because it ran out of AdBlue 😭. And of course, a full Jaxon meltdown because he wanted something he couldn’t have.

Just another ordinary day in our world.

But what makes this video so special isn’t me… it’s my three babies.

Valentina telling the story.
Melody quietly helping wherever she can.
And Jaxon… the little boy who changed our lives forever.

People often ask how Lumiere came to life. The truth is… this is how.

It was built between school runs, meltdowns, forgotten shopping lists, slow cookers, broken down cars, and children growing up watching us pour every bit of us into creating a place where families like ours finally belong.

One day my children will look back and realise they didn’t just watch us build Lumiere…

They helped build it.

And that’s something I’ll never stop being proud of. 💜

We honestly don’t even know where to start… 🥹💜

Kirsty, Craig & your gorgeous Teddy… thank you. 🩷

We’ve been asking for your invoice… and instead you emailed to say you’d like us to use the money to help more families.

Honestly… that got us. 🥺

People always ask what makes Lumiere so special.

It’s not us.

It’s all of you.

It’s families who know exactly how hard this journey can be, choosing to make it a little easier for another family.

You didn’t have to do that.

But you did.

Because of your kindness, more families will get to come to Lumiere this summer, make memories, watch their child smile and just forget about everything for a little while.

Sometimes we get so caught up trying to keep Lumiere going that we forget to stop and take moments like this in.

This community is honestly something else.

The love you all have for each other, the kindness you show without anyone asking, the way you quietly look after one another… it never stops amazing us. 🥹💜

Thank you for reminding us why we started all of this.

Families supporting families.

There really is nothing more powerful than that. 🫶🏼💜

Can’t actually believe how many of you commented 🥹🥹💜

It’s honestly broke our heart reading so many of your messages. It really shows the lack of support their is 💔

I genuinely wish we could give every single one of you a free session. If we could, we absolutely would. 🥹💜

Alongside the 10 chosen, there were a few messages we just couldn’t ignore, so we’ve gifted those families separate sessions too. 💜

If you’ve been picked, just message us with a slot that’s available on our website and we’ll pop you in. 💜
We love every single one of you and promise we’ll keep doing everything we can to help as many families as possible. 🫶💜

Love you all x

Happy 50th to our amazing Siobhan🎉💜

Meet our incredible HR lady… yes incredible , Siobhan Volunteers all the way from London , the best of the best ❤️

Siobhan joined the Lumiere family over a year ago and honestly, we've never looked back. Bringing a wealth of knowledge in Health & Education and 18 years of Social work 🤩

She's all the way from London, but somehow she's always right here with us. Last year she came to support us for a whole week, and this year she did the exact same thing. I think it's safe to say it's become a tradition now!

Siobhan gets Lumiere. She believes in everything we stand for, supports every step we take, and she's always there not just for us, but for everyone around us.

If Siobhan lived in Liverpool (or we were in London!), she'd be with us every single day. Thank you for always being you. For your kindness, your guidance, your friendship, and for believing in our dream as much as we do. We love you so much and can't wait to see what the future holds together. Happy 50th, Siobhan!

Here's to celebrating you today and always 🥂💜✨

(2nd post, please reshare and listen through as the main parts was not in the first post absolutely devastating 🥺)

There comes a point where enough is enough.

Watching your child come home after being hit day after day breaks something inside you that no parent should ever have to experience. We reached a point as a family where we no longer felt that we could leave Jaxon in school, and the hardest decision we had to make was taking him out.

This isn’t about blaming another child. Children with additional needs communicate and regulate differently, and that is understood. The difference is that vulnerable children need the right support, safeguarding and communication around them. As parents, we deserve to know what is happening so we can work together to keep our children safe.

When we look at Val, we can see what can happen when someone’s needs are truly understood, when they’re listened to, valued and supported in the right environment. Every child deserves that same chance. Every child deserves to feel safe.

The heartbreaking reality is that our family isn’t a one off. There are so many families in Liverpool facing the same battles because there simply aren’t enough appropriate SEND provisions or places available for children whose needs deserve to be met properly.

That is one of the reasons Lumiere means so much to us.

Lumiere isn’t here to replace schools it is here to work alongside them. To enhance what is already there. To give children and families that extra layer of understanding, regulation, wellbeing and support that can make such a huge difference. Partnership is everything. When families, schools and services work together, children have the best chance to thrive.

No parent should have to choose between their child’s education and their child’s safety.

Our children deserve better, and together, we can help build that.
