Last Friday, we welcomed Peter Dowd, the MP for Bootle and Cllr Paulette Lappin for Ford (Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and Skills and Deputy Leader) to see first-hand how we support young people across Sefton.
As part of Career Connect, we are proud to deliver the Sefton Best Practice NEET Reduction and Early Intervention Service (commissioned by Sefton Council), helping young people who are not in education, employment or training to re-engage and thrive.
During the visit, they met some of the inspiring young people (and their families) we’ve had the privilege to support, hearing powerful stories about resilience, ambition, and success.
Our CEO, Sheila Clark also sat down with one young person who explained how her adviser never gave up on her - supporting her journey into college and helping her take confident next steps towards her future.
Sefton continues to be a place of opportunity and collaboration, with Sefton Council leading the way through its investment in early help and proactive approaches to tackling youth unemployment. Together, we are building brighter futures and ensuring every young person has the chance to reach their full potential.
