📰 | Well Placed brings together strategic leaders from across Liverpool’s third sector, creating a collective voice for local organisations and ensuring that the third sector is a first thought when developing solutions to the challenges facing our health systems and services.

They believe the third sector holds many of the solutions to these challenges, and Well Placed provides an opportunity for organisations to work together, share insight, and influence how services and systems are shaped.

📰 | At the end of August, Age Concern Liverpool & Sefton shared the sad news that Jacinta Ashdown, who until recently was their CEO, died after a short battle with cancer.

Across her lifetime, Jacinta touched the lives of thousands of people, originally through nursing, and later as a key Merseyside sector leader and through considerable personal charitable fundraising. Multiple members of Liverpool’s third sector attended the funeral service alongside her Age Concern colleagues.

The officiant summed up Jacinta well when he described her as having “a permanent smile, and when she was not smiling, she was laughing”. Jacinta’s legacy will live on at Age Concern because she was such an amazing part.
