This year, 21 incredible people are taking on a skydive for Woodlands Hospice, all for very different reasons. Together, they have already raised an amazing £20,297 with sponsorship still coming in.
Kelly and Hannah signed up because completing a skydive had always been on their bucket list, and they wanted to raise money for Woodlands at the same time.
Pauline has had many friends touched by Woodlands Hospice and wanted to support the care we provide.
Ben's mum attends our support groups, and he wanted to give something back.
Louise took on the challenge to overcome her fear of flying. Not only did she complete the skydive, but she loved it so much that she's already planning a flying holiday.
Ella completed her jump in memory of her dad, who was cared for by Woodlands.
Nicola, one of our Inpatient Ward nurses, also took on the challenge.
Michelle jumped in memory of her dad and has shared her inspiring story with us.
We are incredibly grateful to every person who has chosen to take the leap for Woodlands Hospice. Their courage and generosity are helping us continue to provide specialist care and support to local patients and families.
We still have a few places available for our final skydive day on Sunday 13 September. If you've ever wanted to experience a skydive while supporting your local hospice then email Sonia [email protected] and she'll tell you everything you need to know.
