Bamboo have made an application to vary their premises licence. The licensing team are currently inviting representations in support or against their plans to be made by 7 August. Shared below are the details taken directly from Liverpool Council’s Licensing page. We have asked if the licensing team can give further detail on the amendments being proposed in relation to the licensing area, which Annex 2 &3 conditions Bamboo are applying to remove and what new conditions are they looking to add. Application to vary an existing premises licence:
* To amend the deposited plan depicting the licensed area
* To remove the current Annex 2 and Annex 3 conditions and replace these with new conditions
* To amend the current terminal hour for Recorded Music (indoors): Monday to Sunday 23:00 to 02:00 (Currently 08:00 to 23:00 Monday to Sunday)
* To extend the current terminal hour for Supply of Alcohol (on and off the premises): Monday to Sunday 08:00 to 02:00 (Currently 10:00 to 23:00 Monday to Sunday)
* To extend the current terminal hour for Hours open to the public: Monday to Sunday 08:00 to 02:00 (Currently 08:00 to 23:00 Monday to Sunday)
* To add the following Non-Standard Timing: Bank holiday Sunday/Monday, Christmas eve, Boxing Day/27th December until 02:00 Hours. An extension on New Years Eve/Day until 08:00 when standard hours commence
* To add the following Non-Standard Timing for Supply of Alcohol and Hours open to the public: From 07:00 on the three days of the Grand National event.
Some points to consider when making a representation against a licence application:
* Prevention of crime and disorder: This may include drunkenness, anti-social behaviour, drug use, spiking, sexual harassment, inappropriate behaviour, racial harassment, actions of door staff, illegal working and theft.
* Public safety: This may include the physical safety of people using the venue, fire safety and first aid provisions.
* Prevention of public nuisance: This may include the venue operating beyond its authorised hours, loud music/people, light pollution, noxious smells and litter.
* Protection of children from harm: This may include moral, psychological and physical harm from alcohol, strong language or sexual exploitation, underage access/drinking.
