Invitation: People’s Emergency Briefing screening at Christ Church Toxteth Park, Linnet Lane, Liverpool L17 3BE 21 October 7pm-9pm

Invitation for all to attend a local screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing film on the threats to British life from ongoing damage to nature and to our climate.

The film features footage from last November’s National Emergency Briefing, bringing together leading UK experts in climate science, food security, health, economics, national security and nature. It presents a calm, evidence-based overview of how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday life in Britain - and what the science says about risks and responses.
The initiative is explicitly non-partisan and supported by a wide range of organisations, including A Rocha; the Church of England, the National Trust, WWF, the Royal Meteorological Society and many others.

A new HMO application has been made on 57 Ancaster Road (a previous application was refused on 1 October). The application is for a 3-6 person house of multi occupation.

There are 37 licensed premises on Lark Lane. There are no standard licence conditions and each premises has different conditions depending on:
• what they included on their licence application
• whether their application went to a Licensing sub-committee hearing where further conditions were added
• whether during the consulting period another body (e.g., Merseyside Police, Environmental Health) submitted conditions to be added

One of our volunteers has looked at all the Lark Lane licences on the City Council website and has put together a helpful summary of the different licence conditions.

Attached is information from the first 3 pages of the summary showing :
• list of all licensed premises and times they can serve alcohol
• licensed closing times
• times when music can be played
• times when windows & doors must be closed
• times when outdoor areas must to be closed
• times when waste can be collected

If a premises doesn't appear on the list this is because there are no conditions included on their licence for this aspect. If you would like a full copy of the summary please email [email protected]

We're aware from our meetings that residents can experience issues connected with licensed premises such as noise disturbance, emptying of recycling late at night or early in the morning, antisocial behaviour of customers etc.

If you are experiencing any issues relating to a licensed premises you can either:

• email the City Council Licensing team at [email protected]

• go to the City Council website licensed premises online reporting page https://liverpool.gov.uk/business/licences-and-permits/entertainment-and-alcohol-licences/complaints-about-licensed-premises/

At our September LLNA Community Meeting the City Council Licensing team confirmed that they take any issues raised by residents seriously and that they will contact the relevant premises to discuss the issue with them.

NB. Due to data protection legislation the licensing team won't usually be able to let residents know what action has been taken.
