We’re taking it back to the ’90s for a bedroom party packed with live music, drinks, networking, content opportunities and, of course, copies of the new issue.

Help shape the future of Liverpool’s Fabric District

We’re looking for two new Board Members to bring property and regeneration expertise to one of Liverpool city centre’s most distinctive neighbourhoods. We’re seeking:

🏙️ One Board Member with a planning background
🏗️ One Board Member with architectural experience

Both new board members will join our Physical and Green Regeneration sub group, with one appointee also taking on the role of Chair.

It’s an exciting time to get involved! New homes, investment in heritage buildings and improvements to public spaces are bringing fresh momentum to the Fabric District, spanning the London Road and Islington neighbourhoods close to Lime Street Station and Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter.

Major plans for the area also include a £16.7m transport and public realm programme, with proposals to transform Monument Place, improve walking and cycling connections, introduce new landscaping and public space, and enhance bus reliability along London Road.

If you have the expertise, ideas and ambition to help guide the next phase of the Fabric District’s regeneration, we’d love to hear from you.

Have you heard? The Fabric District is going to be neighbouring a fantastic new park! 🌳

The former Royal Liverpool Hospital site is set to be transformed into a ‘mini-Eden’, with 163 new trees, wildflower meadows and play areas. Designed to enhance healing and provide a peaceful space to relax, the park will be there for patients and staff at the new Royal Hospital, as well as the wider community.

This is going to be a great asset for the city, and we can’t wait to enjoy it!

The Fabric District already has a culture, but we’re trying to understand it better. Before we start planning for the future, we’re taking some time to listen to you.

We’re hosting an event on Thursday 24 September, 6pm–8.30pm at Commune, to hear all about what’s here, what’s missing and what should come next.

Whether you’re a Liverpool artist, trader, maker, organiser, business owner, resident, student, or simply curious about the people and places that make the Fabric District what it is, we want to hear from you!

This isn’t a consultation, presentation or networking event. We want to spend an evening having conversations, sharing ideas and hearing stories that can help shape future projects, partnerships and events across the district.

Liverpool MakeFest is back!

Looking for something a little different to do? Liverpool MakeFest is taking place on Sunday 13 September, and it’s not to be missed!

From lace makers and artists to high-tech robotics and everything in between, there will be makers from across the country showcasing what they create, sharing ideas and inspiring others to have a go.
