We’re finishing the week on a real high! We know it’s only Thursday, but Fridays are our day off, so officially this is the end of our working week 😊

We’ve had two fantastic coffee mornings focused on language and communication: one with Lindsey, our early years language and communication specialist, and one with Alex from Wonderful Words Speech and Language Therapy. We’ve also had three brilliant after-school sessions.

A big thank you to Lindsey and Alex for sharing their knowledge with us, and to everyone who came along and made the week so lovely 💚

Today we’re taking part in a workshop with LCVS looking at the difference that our work makes for families.

“ Theory of Change” sounds a bit technical, but it’s really about asking: what do families need, what support do we offer, and what difference do we hope it makes?

For us, that means families feeling understood, less alone and better connected to the support they need. And it means continuing to listen to you as our families because your experiences matter in shaping what we do.

Our Girls Club is on tomorrow, Thursday, from 4–5pm at Stoneycroft Family Hub. It’s a welcoming space for girls aged 8–15 to meet, chat and enjoy activities together.

There are still places available. Parents and carers stay for the session.

A lovely morning at Everton Children’s Centre!

Today we talked all things language and communication. The conversation was so informative, and our parents got really involved—sharing experiences, asking questions and opening up lots of helpful discussion. It was boss to see! 💛

And we’re keeping the conversation going tomorrow at our West Derby coffee morning. We’re delighted that Alex from Wonderful Words is joining us. She’s a Speech and Language Therapist who’s kindly giving her time to chat informally with families about speech, language and communication.

If you’ve got questions or would simply like to find out more, come along for a cuppa and a friendly chat. There’s no obligation—just a chance to meet Alex and talk things through.

We’ll be joined by Alex from Wonderful Words SLT. Alex is an independent Speech and Language Therapist and will be there for informal chats about children’s speech, language and communication. You can ask about communication strategies, AAC, support in school, or whether a Speech and Language Therapy assessment might be helpful.

There’s no obligation to access Alex’s service afterwards — it’s a chance to have a friendly chat and make professional advice a little more accessible.

🌿 WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY! 🌿

Yesterday, the beautiful Palm House was filled with conversations, connections and community as we welcomed families, neurodivergent adults and professionals to Liverpool’s Neurodiverse Support & Information Event.

Around 30 organisations joined us, sharing information, answering questions and helping visitors discover the support, services and opportunities available across Liverpool and Merseyside.

We were also honoured to welcome the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, who spent the day meeting exhibitors and learning more about the work taking place across our city.
