We're hiring! Together Liverpool is looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day finance function and help keep our organisation running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role in a small charity, combining financial management, budgeting and funder reporting with support for trustee meetings, governance and organisational systems.

The role offers flexible working, with one day a week normally based at St James House in Liverpool. Application deadline: Sunday 25 October 2026.

The Manifesto for Hope sets out nine priorities for communities where everyone can flourish.
This morning in Runcorn, churches, charities and civic leaders explored how to put those priorities into action together - from tackling loneliness to building trust and stronger partnerships.

Great to be at The Man With The Plan workshop at the Bluecoat today, exploring William Beveridge’s Five Giants and what they mean for Liverpool now.

Really useful discussion about inequality, the challenges facing communities today, and what might be missing from our vision for Liverpool’s future.

There's still time to book today, if you'd like to join us for this three-part Faithful Civic Life series starting this Tuesday Sept 22nd - three sessions for a total £15, to help cover the cost of dinner included at each evening!

We'll be asking: How can churches and faith communities have a greater voice in civic life? Led by Liverpool Cllr Jane Corbett and Together Liverpool CEO Rev James Green, Faithful Civic Life: Power, Place and the Common Good promises three fulfilling evenings sharing conversation, food and prayer.

Together, we’ll explore how local power works, where decisions are made, how relationships can create influence, and how faith communities can turn their local knowledge and goodwill into meaningful action.

We’re delighted that Pope Leo XIV’s representative in Great Britain has received a copy of the Manifesto for Hope, at a gathering of faith and civic leaders in Liverpool Cathedral.

The Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía was presented with a copy of the Manifesto, during a reception hosted by Archbishop of Liverpool John Sherrington, at Liverpool Cathedral.

The “Better Together in Hope” reception brought together church, faith, civic and political leaders, to reflect on the challenges facing the region and to strengthen partnerships for the common good.

It was brilliant to see so many people gather to celebrate kindness, at the launch of our Chair Ellen Loudon's new book: Project Kindness - Conversations about doing Justice in hostile times, on Friday!
