Are you a fully enrolled volunteer with a drivers licence and vehicle towing experience?

We are looking for help from a volunteer for the week commencing Monday 21st September to assist us in moving our sailing fleet to Southport for the National Regatta.

We are looking for someone who has towing on the licence and that would be able to hire out the NWA ranger to help with this move.

Are you a fully enrolled adult volunteer who is availible to help us out on the 12th and 13th August.

We are in need for a shoreside assistant for the 2 days for our powerboat level 2 due to our shoreside volunteer dropping out.

Any help is much appreciated and please spread the word! Courses can only happen with your help.

We hope everyone has had enough rest to recover from such a busy time they had last week!

The Crosby Boat Station Team would like to say a big thank you and well done to everyone who took part and played a role in our first ever multi discipline instructor course week with accommodation.

Firstly, well done to all the candidates who worked very hard to earn their qualification. We managed to get;

- 4 x New Royal Yachting Association Dinghy Instructors ⛵

- 4 x New Royal Yachting Association Powerboat Instructors 🚤

- 5 x New Sea Cadets Rowing Instructors 🚣

- 7 x New Paddle UK Core Coach Awards 🛶

- 8 x Paddle UK Discipline Specific Training Awards (DST)

- 4 x New Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Sheltered Water Award 🏄

Also, a huge thank you to all the people who helped this course run throughout the week including the trainers and caterers, without everyone's help this week would not have been possible.🙏

This is the first residential that the Boat Station has had using the (The Bunk Barn) at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre and the Boat Station Staff have been told it is the first time the Boat Station has ran a multi-discipline instructor week.

We hope to see the new instructors in action down at the lake soon! 😄

Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow we have had to make the decision to cancel the intro to canoeing course ( CRBS
/26/1184223), we had running tomorrow. Unfortunately due to the high forecast winds we cannot take people out canoeing on the lake.

Are you or anyone you know a in date PBI, we currently have a powerboat level 2 course on Tuesday 21st July - Wednesday 22nd July. Due to instructor cancelations we are in need of 1 PBI for the two days from 0830 - 1700. Travel and VA is available.

🛥 CRBS/26/1176722 - RYA Powerboat Instructor Course 26th - 29th July 🛥

Do you or anyone in your unit that are a fully enrolled volunteer currently hold an RYA Powerboat Instructor Pre Skills Assessment and is looking for a place on a instructor course at the end of the month?

🛏️ We have just got 2 available spaces onto this course, accommodation is available to anyone wanting to participate. 🛏️

ℹ️ Course Information Bellow ℹ️

Minimum age - 18

⏰ Experience - Five seasons experience of powerboating logged (preferably in range of boat types and sizes) OR one season for those who use powerboats as an integral part of their normal full-time occupation.

🛥 Pre-entry assessment - Candidates must attend a skills assessment prior to their instructor training course. Details can be found in the RYA Power Schemes Instructor Handbook (G19) 🛥

Training course - Three day course assessed by an independent Trainer on the third day.

👩‍🏫Qualified to teach - Up to and including Powerboat Level 2 under the supervision of the Principal or Chief Instructor. If you hold the Safety Boat Certificate, you may also teach the RYA Safety Boat Course. 👩‍🏫

⏰Validity - Five years from date of issue, provided that a valid first aid certificate is maintained. ⏰
