⚽️ Beyond the ball

Today begins the production of 200 footballs with our partners in Australia and the Philippines.

A football represents shared humanity and connection, bridging distance and difference.

For us, football is more than a sport. It helps break down barriers and bring people together.

These 200 footballs are just the beginning. Each one carries the potential to inspire communities, create connection and bring people together.

This is the first of many updates. More to come! ⚽️

Together with Mark Hayes and Emmerson Boyce, we welcomed Sirgut and Azeb from the British Embassy, Addis Ababa to the UK for a programme focused on football, education, safeguarding, and community development.

We met with stakeholders across the professional game to strengthen collaboration, shared learning, and long-term partnership opportunities between the UK and Ethiopia.

Discussions also covered preparations for the Diplomatic Cup this June, the expansion of the She Wins initiative, which tackles gender-based violence, and upcoming referee and grassroots development programmes, with a focus on sustainable, community-led impact.

The visit highlighted the growing role of sport, education, and safeguarding in advancing diplomacy, inclusion, and sustainable international development.

Together with the Emmerson Boyce Foundation and Mark Hayes, Global Lead at SMS Pro Soccer, we engaged in a meaningful dialogue with Ronel, founder of the iCare Project in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines.

As part of our ongoing collaboration, we advanced discussions on forthcoming initiatives with the potential to benefit hundreds of thousands of children across the region—focusing on deepening strategic partnerships, fostering long-term community resilience, and promoting sustainable, locally led development.

We reaffirmed a shared commitment to turning intentions into tangible outcomes—ensuring that cooperation delivers measurable impact for vulnerable children and communities in Mindanao.
