Friday 21/08/2026 summer HAF 2026 programme we will be going to New Brighton - meet outside Morrisons at 11:00am, bring a healthy packed lunch and please check the weather to see what appropriate clothes/shoes you may need. Its always a lovely day on the beach and a beautiful walk on the prom. Enjoy everyone of these special days out with families and make beautiful memories.

Last Wednesday 12/08 as part of our summer HAF programme we were so privileged to have Alex Falase-Coya He is a British children's author and former winner of the London Writers' Awards, best known for writing the popular Marv superhero series and co-writing children's fiction with Marcus Rashford. He came to our intergen and spoke to our young people and carers, he was brilliant, a great interactive session, a great author and speaker, the kin-kids loved him.

Thursday 20/08 our young people will be going on an adventure to:
MYA OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE
Based on the private Lord Derby estate in Knowsley, our outdoor education centre offers exciting, supportive access to experiences in the wild, structured within a safe and inclusive development programme.

Another great session as part of our Summer 26 HAF programme. Have loads of fun and experience all outdoor activities, make lots of memories, take care whilst being brave and bold.

Everyone going to Splashworld today, have a wonderful time and enjoy the water and the slides, take care and look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday 19/08 at Positive Futures for our third summer HAF intergen including basic first aid and chair BOCCA which is like chair bowls, its great but very competitive in a healthy way! There will be lovely food and snacks, arts, crafts, sports. Looking forward to seeing all our kinship families.

# # # A Brilliant Summer Intergen Afternoon ☀️🐍🎨⚽

We had a **very busy and brilliant Summer Intergen last Wednesday**, packed full of fun, new experiences and plenty of opportunities for our kin-kids to learn, explore and make memories together.

We were joined by the **Reptile Lady**, who introduced the children to snakes, lizards and all manner of exotic creatures. She showed the kin-kids how gentle and safe it can be to hold and handle these amazing animals. Our kin-kids were incredibly brave — some of them showed absolutely no fear!

Our older kin-kids also took part in an important workshop exploring their ideal professionals including roles such as teachers and social workers. It was a really valuable piece of work, delivered in a fun and engaging way.

We also had a **healthy eating session**, where the children made their own fruit kebabs and pizzas from scratch. They absolutely loved creating their own food, cooking it and then sitting down together to enjoy it for lunch. 🍕🍓

There was plenty more going on too, with **arts and crafts, football, exercise and lots of time outdoors**.

It really was a brilliant afternoon, full of **fun, exercise, fresh air, new experiences, new friendships and lots of lovely memories made together**.

A huge well done to all of our amazing kin-kids for getting involved, trying new things and making it such a fantastic afternoon! ❤️

🌿 What a brilliant day at Crocky Trails! 🌿
We were so lucky with the weather and had the most amazing time exploring everything Crocky Trails had to offer. There was so much to see and do — we climbed, walked, ran, played, and enjoyed some lovely, healthy food along the way. 🥗🌳
But one of the loveliest parts of the day was watching our kin-kids make new friends, support one another, encourage each other and share so many moments of laughter and fun. 💚
It really is something so special to see them building friendships, growing in confidence and looking out for each other.
We had the best day filled with adventure, friendship, healthy choices and so much fun! 🌿💚
A day to remember! ✨
