Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary Registered Charity Number 1157210 is a small foster home based animal sanctuary in the Merseyside area, set up in July 2013. We primarily focus on rescuing unwanted/stray cats and rabbits, however we will aim to help any animal in need. We currently have several foster homes throughout Merseyside and we are very keen to recruit more! To find out more information, please get in touch; [email protected]
We have a strict non-destruction policy and will keep every animal in our care until a forever home can be found. We carry out home visits on prospective new homes, this is to ensure that the area is safe/suitable and also provide a time for advice on adopting a rescue pet and answering any questions the prospective owner has. Home visits are not to look at how clean a house is or
what the decor is like! All Rescue Me animals are deflea'd, wormed, microchipped, neutered (if the animal is too young, he/she will be recalled for neutering). Our philosophy is to accept an animal into our care based solely on its need and not on any other physical characteristic, providing we have a suitable foster home free. We believe that by looking after a rescue pet in a home environment we are able to fully assess the animal, understand its needs and the type of home he/she will require and ultimately match them to a suitable home. We are very excited about our new venture but currently only have a handful of volunteers, with more support we can achieve things faster and rescue even more needy animals...please come and join us, we'll welcome you aboard!!! We are desperate for donations, please help to keep us afloat!! Paypal; [email protected]

❤️😻 VERITABLY BEAUTIFUL VALENCIA IS VERY KEEN FOR A FOREVER HOME 🐾🏡

Stunning little tabby girl Valencia is ready to go to her safe loving home. Valencia was homed by us as a kitten. Sadly, she wandered too far from home and was handed into another rescue as a stray. As our adopted cats stay chipped to us, due to us giving rescue back up (RBU) for life, we were contacted when she was scanned. We, of course, took her back into our care in line with our RBU promise. Her previous adopters are unable to take her back, so she is now looking for her happy ever after.

Valencia has been a really stoic burly since coming back to our care. She does enjoy relaxing, having a good nap in a box. She is always really excited to see people….but pretends otherwise 😹. She really does love a fuss and a good cuddle. She loves full body strokes whilst she stretches out to get the most of it ❤️.

Valencia is in foster at our HQ in Melling and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and has had her first vaccination. She can be homed with children aged 8-years+ but she hasn’t been tested with other pets. If interested in adopting Valencia, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of £125 and vetting applies.

😽❤️THE XTRAORDINARLY STUNNING X GIRLS ARE READY….🐾🏡

The beautiful X litter ladies are 14-weeks old. They are now ready to go to their forever homes.

The girls are still a little timid and will need to be homed separately, in an experienced cat-savvy home. They will soon come round and blossom 🌸 with time, patience and TLC. They can be homed with friendly neutered resident cats, children aged 10-years+ and are young enough to get used to a calm cat-savvy dog.

XIA - loves a snooze in a comfy nook 😽. She loves to play with toys 🧸🧶 and definitely knows her own mind…. so a house where she can rule the roost would very much suit her!

XENA - is a little princess 👸. She is happy to be picked up and is very much favours a warm lap to curl up in. She also has the biggest purr for such a teenie kitten.

These beautiful girls are in foster on Wirral and have been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and have had their first vaccinations. If interested in adopting either of them, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of £150 each and vetting applies.

😻❤️ZANY ZIGGY IS READY TO GO HOME 🐾🏡

Ziggy is 18-mths old and has complete heterochromia…..one eye being blue and one eye being green. He doesn’t appear to suffer any level of deafness and is now looking for his forever home.

Ziggy is a sweet friendly boy. He will definitely need outdoor access once settled in his new home. Therefore, as he is susceptible to skin cancer, his adopter should be experienced with white or pale-coloured cats and be committed to applying sunscreen to his ears and nose whenever he goes outside.

Ziggy was used to being a ‘Tom cat Casanova’ - he had the biggest testicles we have ever seen 🙀 - and was confused when he first came into us but he has settled well. , especially now he has been neutered ✂️

Ziggy did have problems with a localised area of his gums, which has now been successfully treated. There will, however, likely be insurance implications if he has gum problems in the future.

Ziggy is in foster at our HQ in Melling and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and is fully vaccinated. He can be homed with friendly resident neutered cats and children aged 8-years+. If interested in adopting him, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee if £125 and vetting applies.

NOW RESERVED🎉🥳

🐈‍⬛❤️ OUTSTANDING OSRA IS KEEPING HER PAWS CROSSED 🐾 🏡

Beautiful little black panther, Osra, is 14-weeks old and is ready to go to her forever home.

Osra came into us with her mum and siblings. The litter had been born outside, with no early human interaction. They were a little timid when they arrived and our fosterers have done a great job of socialising them. Osra is now a friendly girl but can be slightly jumpy, although not in a scared way.

Osra is a big fan of other cats. She gains confidence comfort from them. She now also enjoys humans too! She will mewww for her fosterer’s attention. She will headbutt and run against almost anythinhg to request strokes. She also enjoys full body rubs, including them bum scritches 🐈‍⬛❗️She encourages this by wrapping her tail around her fosterer’s hand😻

Osra is a successful huntress 🏹…….especially of big fish toys 🐟. She will need safe outdoor access, once about a year old.

As Osra didn’t have human contact early on in life, she is now making up for it by being super affectionate and craving attention. She will, however, regress a little on moving home. To help her settle more quickly, she will need to be crated or confined to a separate room for a day or two. We can advise on this.

Osra is in foster in Wavertree and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and has had her first vaccination. She must be homed with a friendly resident neutered cat(s). She could also be homed with children aged 8-years+and is young enough to get used to a calm cat-savvy dog. She would like to be homed in a busy household, where there is more opportunity for fusses 😽….she isn’t, yet, keen on being held though.

If interested in adopting Osra, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of£150 and vetting applies.

🌹❤️ REALLY BEAUTIFUL ROSIE IS READY 🐾🏡

Rosie approx 6-mths old and came to us having been found straying. She is quite a shy girl who takes things slowly, in her own time. She likes having hides holes and can often be found relaxing in her little den 😻. She is a very playful girlie and this is the way to her heart ❤️ and how she will bond quickly to her humans.

When Rosie came into us, she had mild conjunctivitis, which has been successfully treated. This may, however, flare up again with the stress of a home move. It is easily treated with meds but would not be covered by insurance.

Rosie would likely be suited to be homed with a friendly neutered resident cat, with sensible introductions but is better homed in a dog-free home. She can also be homed with sensible cat-savvy children, aged 12-years+.

Rosie is in foster at our HQ in Melling and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and has had her first vaccination. If interested in adopting her, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of £125 and vetting applies.

Available for adoption 🏡
Please share and help us to find their forever home!

🐶 Name; Rex
🐶 Breed; Chow Chow
🐶 Age; 6 months
🐶 S*x; Male
🐶 Background; Rex had been taken to a vets by his previous owner for euthanasia. We were told a toddler had crawled up to him and he snapped at them. The vets were desperate to find a rescue space for him.
🐶 Personality; Rex is a typical Chow who has had an unsettled upbringing bouncing around homes as a puppy. This has left him poorly socialised and as a result he can be reactive to strangers.
🕓 Left alone; up to 6 hours a day
💩 House training; Rex is clean in his kennel and we think he would pick this up quickly in a home too.
🏃‍♀️Exercise; Rex is a young boy who enjoys his walks and will need a moderate-high amount of exercise - minimum 45 minutes x 2 per day.
✂️Grooming; Chow Chows need A LOT of grooming to keep on top of their coats. Regular appointments with an experienced groomer will be required, please consider this additional cost if applying.

👀 Adopter Requirements; We are looking for someone who has plenty of experience of Chow Chow’s and their quirky natures. Rex will most benefit from a quiet home with someone dedicated to working with him on his socialisation so that he can live his life to the full.
🏡 Home/garden needs; a quiet home with a private secure garden.
👶Minimum age of children; Rex needs a home with NO kids or ANY visiting kids.
🐕Resident dogs (must be already neutered, this is not negotiable); Rex can live with another dog subject to a successful meet and greet.
🐈 Cat tested; Not Tested
🩺 Medical issues; No known health problems. Rex is too young to be neutered and needs some further socialisation first, he will be neutered in our clinic in Melling when ready. His new owners will need to bring him to us for his surgery (which will be a midweek appointment), this is non-negotiable.

All our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, parasite treated and come with 5 weeks free insurance.

If you live within an hour of L31, please complete an adoption application form to enquire with AS MUCH INFO as possible;

👀 Looking for a cat who will be eternally grateful for being rescued? Well.... keep scrolling! ⏫️

However, if you'd like a 9 year old, typical redhead (read: strong opinions, firm boundaries, no interest in your nonsense) then keep reading, as Teegan could be the cat for you! If your idea of the perfect companion is a loving older cat with a little bit of spice and a lot of character, Teegan may just be the girl you've been waiting for.

Reasons you should adopt her:
😺 She's 9 years old and loves play time at a reasonable hour, so none of that kitten parkour craziness at 3am
💉 Fully vaccinated and treated for parasites, so she's had more preventative healthcare than some humans
✂️ Neutered, not pesky uterus, need we say more?
👑 She's an indoor type of girly, and the queen of the house expects to be treated accordingly
🐶 No dogs or other pets, please. She's not looking for fluffy friends, just the adult human kind who fully understand and respect her boundaries
🚫 No human children either. Teegan has chosen the peaceful, child-free lifestyle, thank you very much
😾 When frightened or overwhelmed, she can occasionally choose violence - but she quickly forgets with lots of positive reinforcement, dreamies and occasionally apology head bump
📚 She will teach you a lot of quirky things about cats, especially that they can have quirky and unique personalities
🩷 You get the privilege of earning her trust and giving an older cat who hasn't always felt safe, a place to call her own where she can feel comfortable and secure

🚨❗️Teegan has now been in foster for OVER 155 DAYS! She's MORE than ready to find that special lap to snuggle up on, a sofa to claim as her own and a human (or 2) to boss around 🙏🏡

Could that be you? 🐾

Teegan is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, parasite treated and recently had a dental, so she's feeling fabulous and ready for her next chapter. She's currently in foster in Preston.

📞 If interested in adopting Teegan, please call 07952 017 696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of £125 and vetting applies.

🌹❤️ ZESTFUL ZARA IS READY TO ZOOOOOM 🏎️TO HER NEW HOME 🐾🏡

Beautiful Zara is 3-years old and is looking for her forever home.

Zara came into us after being left behind, to fend for herself, by her previous owners 😿. She was alone for months, until she had her latest litter and she found some fabulous feeders. The feeders had heard her sad story from neighbours and stepped up to help. They looked after Zara and her kittens whilst looking for help for them. This is where we and other wonderful rescue volunteers came in .

Zara is super loving and friendly. She doted on her babies but now deserves a home to call her own, where she is able to curl up without a care in the world 😽. She isn’t yet much of a lap cat but this could change with time and patience. She loves a good brush too for all that beautiful fluffy fur.

Zara has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and has had her first vaccination. She can be collected from our HQ in Melling. If interested in adopting her, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of £125 and vetting applies.
