We’ve found him.

After years of world-class camouflage — behind the noticeboard, the tea urn, the lid of a laptop and occasionally a large plant — Paul was today extracted from the shadows and placed in front of a BBC North West camera.

All in a good cause.

Jack’s drop-kerb campaign is simple and right: a lad from Everton should be able to get to the shop on his own without taking his wheelchair into the road. BNENC is behind him. Paul just usually prefers to be behind the camera as well.

Jack got his independence bid on the telly. Paul got his 15 seconds. One of them is delighted. The other is already planning his next hiding place.

Proud of you, Jack. And Paul — you did grand. Now back you go.

If you’re local and haven’t signed yet, the petition’s on the counter at the Breckfield Centre. Let’s get those kerbs dropped.
