🎓 PLACED ACADEMY APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

Applications for our PLACED Academy Studio and PLACED Academy Pathways programmes are now open, until SUNDAY 14TH JUNE.

💥 Studio is our flagship programme for 14-18 year olds, bringing young people closer to the built environment through hands-on design workshops, live projects and opportunities to learn from industry professionals. Delivered over nine months, the programme helps participants build confidence, develop creative and collaboration skills, and gain real insight into careers in the sector, all while they are still in school or college.

💥 Pathways is open to young people aged 18-25 who are already in further education, training or at the beginning of their career journey. The programme offers continued support, industry insight, mentoring and opportunities to build confidence, connections and experience within the built environment sector.

All our programmes are completely free-to-access!

📍 PROJECT: Birkenhead to Liscard Active Travel Project, Wirral Council

PLACED were commissioned by Wirral Council to deliver public engagement for a new 3.5-mile active travel route between Birkenhead and Liscard town centres. Funded by Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, the project aims to create safer, more accessible streets for people walking, wheeling and cycling – linking key destinations including Hamilton Square, Woodside Ferry, Wirral Waters, Seacombe Ferry, and Liscard Town Centre.

✅ We delivered a wide-ranging programme of community engagement including pop-up events, creative workshops and school sessions.

Feedback from across the 10-week consultation period was compiled into a detailed evaluation report and shared with Wirral Council. Insights from our events are now helping to shape and refine the proposals, ensuring the route responds to the needs and priorities of the people who live, work and travel in the area.
